Bella Bear "Beeing" Too Cute!

Good afternoon, How is it the last day of September, despite all it's troubles 2020 is flying by! I've even started Christmas Shopping!

I'm back with my final inspiration for the Polkadoodles Too Cute new release Bella Bear is back in costume but this time she is a bee:

What I Did:
I resized and printed Bella on to stamping card. She was then colored with alcohol markers and matted with Yellow cardstock.
I matted an A7 card base with the same yellow cardstock and some flowery digital design paper. I cut a strip of a coordinating paper, matted this and added it to the lower part of my card so it looks like a ribbon border. I printed a sentiment cut and matted this adding it to the center of the border.
I centered and added my image and some die cut bees. Finally I added glaze to Bella's nose, the honey on her toast and the drips on the jar.

What I Used:
Digital Sentiment: Polkadoodles - Winnie special Moments Quotes
White card for Base: Neenah Solar White Coverstock
Yellow cardstock: Core'Dinations Premium
Bee Die: Karen Burniston
Glaze: Tonic Crystal Glaze
Glue: ZipDry

Shake the Mummy

Good Morning! The rain has finally arrived and brought cooler weather with it - Thank goodness.

Guess what - It's Tuesday! so head on over to Digi Choosday and enter our challenge - The design team are focusing on Halloween and making shaker cards so I chose Spooky Mummy as my inspiration image:

What I Did:
I resized and printed the image twice, once on stamping card and once on printable acetate.
I colored him and cut the body from the card one. I then glued the acetate on so the body was on show giving me a window for my shaker. Turning my image over I cover the back side with foam tape excluding the window. I filled the window area with sequins, removed the backing from the foam tape and placed a piece of white card over this. this sealed the sequins in place giving me my shaker. I then added this onto an A7 card base which had been matted with black cardstock. As the image filled the card I didn't feel anything else what needed on that card.

What I Used:
Stamping Card: X-Press It
Alcohol Markers: Copic
Acetate: From my stash
White Cardstock: Neenah Solar White
Black Card: Linda Chapman
Foam Tape: Dollar Store
Sequins: Dollar Store
Glue: ZipDry

Best Witches!

Good afternoon, welcome to my final post showcasing Polkadoodles Winnie Wednesday release

Today's cards are made using the Stamp sets Best Witches Winnie Wednesday and Spooky Time

In my first card Winnie has dressed but her pet:

What I Did:
I stamped the image and colored her with alcohol markers. I then used a frame die to cut my image out,  I cut a second frame in black cardstock.
I matted an A2 card base with orange cardstock and paper from the new Boneshakin Paper pack.
I stamped my sentiment and matted this with black cardstock. Finally I added my image and adhered the black frame around her.

What I Used:
Stamping Card; X-Press It
Alcohol Markers: Copic
Frame Die: Gina Marie
Black and Orange Cardstock: Core'Dinations Premium Heavyweight
Glue: ZipDry

My next card I used Winnie dressed as a witch and did a background for her using Spooky Time:

What I Did:
I stamped Winnie and the sentiment onto stamping card, I colored her then used my Scan N Cut to fussy cut her. For my background I used Distress Oxide inks and blended them together. I then stamped the web and spider along with some cute bats. Their eyes were lost in the background so I added these with a white gel pen. I added this to an A2 card base. I added Winnie to my card, the sentiment looks too white so I colored over this with an alcohol marker, edged it in black and adhered it in place.

What I Used:
Polkadoodles - Spooky Time Clear Stamps
Stamping Card: X-Press It
Alcohol Markers: Copic
Blending card: Bristol Smooth
Inks: Tim Holtz Distress Oxide
Gel Pen: Gelly Roll
Black card: Core'Dinations Premium Heavy Weight
Glue: ZipDry

Trick or Treating and Graveyard Fun for Halloween

Good afternoon, hope you are enjoying your weekend, we need to get out and clear the garden now we've had most of the veggies from it!

I'm continuing with showcasing the Polkadoodles Halloween new release. Today I have designed 2 cards using 2 stamp sets - Happy Halloween Winnie Wednesday and Spooky Time:

My first is a trick or treat scene:

What I Did:
I Stamped Winnie first then masked her to stamp the spooky house. I then colored the images. I made the images into a full scene by freehand adding a path, grass and a starry sky. Finally I stamped bats and the BOO sentiment.
My A7 card base was matted with orange cardstock which I stamped with the bats. I then added a strip of black cardstock and a piece of design paper.
My image was matted with black cardstock and added to the base.

What I Used:
Stamping Card: X-Press It
Alcohol Markers: Copic
White Pen for 'stars' - Uniball Signo Broad
Black and Orange Cardstock: Core'Dinations Premium
Glue: ZipDry

My second card is Winnie Wednesday in a grave yard:

What I Did:
This was a simple card, I ink blended my background using Distress Oxide inks. Once dry I then stamped the images from Spooky Time to create my scene. Winnie Wednesday was stamped and then fussy cut her. She does have pumpkins on the original stamp but I decided to use her without these. I then colored her with alcohol markers. I matte an A2 card base with orange cardstock then added my background. finally I adhered Winnie to the corner of the card.

What I Used:
Stamping Card: X-Press It
Alcohol Markers: Copic
Blending card - Bristol Smooth
Inks: Tim Holtz Distress Oxide
Black and Orange Cardstock: Core'Dinations Premium Heavyweight

Blessed and Grateful Pumpkins and Fall

Good Morning, September is my favorite month of the year, fall starts, harvest celebrations are happening in our small town and of course pumpkins are in abundance! That's why I couldn't resist coloring one of the gorgeous designs in the Blessed and Grateful digital stamp collection:

This was a very simple card to make. I added the sentiment to the image and, for impact, printed the image larger than I usually do.  I colored the image with Copic Markers paying attention to realistic colors from images on Google.

I matted a 5x7 in card base with deep red cardstock (pulling a color I had used on the image). I finally finished by adding my image to the matted card base.

Designing this card makes me want to head to the local farms for warm apple cider, corn maze's and hay rides!

You can check out the new release and all of our products over in their store.

Thank you for stopping by. I will be back during the month with more inspiration from Joy Clair. Also my teamies will be sharing with you over on the Joy Clair Facebook Group.

Good afternoon, Thank goodness it's Friday, my week days are filled with supervising school work so the weekend means a mental break!

Today I'm showing more of the New release stamps from Polkadoodles. I'm once again using Boneshakin Halloween Winnie Wednesday:

What I Did:
I stamped the image and pumpkin onto stamping card, I then used my scan n cut to cut the images out before I colored them with alcohol markers.
I matted a black A2 card base with orange card stock, I also cut a mat from black cardstock but die cut a Halloween aperture from this before adhering to my card. I stamped the sentiment in the middle of the aperture and arranged my images on the card to finish the design.

What I Used:
Stamping Card: X-Press It
Alcohol Markers: Copic
Black Card: Core'Dinations Premium
Die: Gina Marie
Orange Cardstock: Core'Dinations Premium
Glue: Zip Dry

Bone Shakin' Halloween

Good afternoon! I have all the house doors open letting the cooler air in to the house, It's so much better than the air con! The dogs love it too.

Halloween isn't that fair away and Polkadoodles have released a great set of clear stamps using their cute Winnie Wednesday! I have designed a collection of cards for this new release and over the next few days I will be showcasing them for you.

My first card is using Boneshakin Halloween Winnie Wednesday, there are 2 main images in this set with lots of  embellishment stamps you can use with them. My card is using Winnie sitting on a huge pumpkin:

What I Did:
I started by stamping the main image onto stamping card, I then masked the edge of this and stamped the cat. This gives the impression the cat is behind the pumpkins. The sentiment was then stamped across the top. I then colored the image with alcohol markers.
I matted a black A2 card base with purple card stock and design paper from the Boneshakin Halloween Paper Pack.
My Image was trimmed to fit may card and matted with black and purple cardstock before adhering to the card base with foam tape.

What I Used:
Stamping Card: X-Press It
Alcohol Markers: Copic
Card Base and black card Mat: Core'dinations premium heavy weight cardstock

Love Endures Fall Leaves

Good morning, fall has finally arrived this week I'm thankful for the cooler temperatures but don't like all the rain that has come with it.

My card today is using the Love Endures Clear Stamp Set, this has a set of leaves that are great colored with the gorgeous colors fall brings.

I started my design by stamping the 3 different leaves multiple times. I then colored them with alcohol markers and fussy cut them, finally I shaped them with a ball stylus. I matted my card base with a deep red cardstock. I stamped a piece of patterned paper with Give Thanks, both are sentiments included in the Love Endures set. I adhered this to my card base and arranged my leaves so the look as though they are blowing across my card. I then added some enamel dots from the Fuzzy Peach Clear Enamel Dots.

I love these leaves and know they will appear on lots of my fall cards this year.

Sunflower Fall Release and Blog Hop

Good morning! We say goodbye to our house guests today, 8 dogs has been fun but I'm ready for a rest!

Joy Clair have an amazing September release starting today with a blog hop.

My inspiration card is using Thankful For You stamp collection I love sunflowers! Because of my style of card I have made 2 designs for this release my first uses the sentiment Hello Friend:

The second uses Thankful For You:

Both sentiments are part of the Thankful For You stamp collection. I started by printing 3 sunflower images. One of then I placed the Hello Friend sentiment. I also printed the Thankful For You sentiment. I then colored only one of the images. I die cut a circle from my colored image and put to one side keeping both the circle and the outer part of the sunflower. I matted a black card base with brown and yellow cardstock and then added my uncolored Hello Friend image. I then added wet glue to the back of the colored circle and lined it up on the uncolored image making a spotlight effect. I then added a few clear enamel dots to the card to finish my design.
My second card was made in the same way except I lined up the outer part of my colored sunflower and glued it in place. These were then trimmed and matted on yellow card. I wrapped a length of ribbon around a piece of yellow card and patterned paper and added this to a top folding card base. My Sunflower was adhered in place with foam tape. Thankful For You was matted with yellow card and foam tape glued this in place. A few yellow dots scattered on the uncolored portion of the card finished the design.

Allie Cat

Good afternoon - We have finished our first week on virtual school, we had some hiccups but getting there! Today is a holiday as it Monday and a break is needed!

There is a new release over at Stamper's Delights and it is a cute one, we are getting ready for Halloween so meet Chibi Allie Cat:

Isn't she the cutest!!! I colored her with Copic Markers and die cut her into a circle. I cut a slightly larger black circle and matted her on to this.
I made a 7x5 in black card base, the pink spiderweb was actually saved from a bouquet of flowers I received. I cut a piece big enough to mat my card. Allie was then added.
I changed the color of the inclusive sentiment with my graphics program, matted it with black card and added it to my design.

Encouragement Card made with Butterfly Kisses

Good Morning! Mornings have got earlier for me now school has started

I am sharing a card today that would be great as an encouragement card.  I use a stunning stamp set from Joy Clair called Butterfly Kisses.

I love this set for making quick cards. The butterflies are mainly a flourish in one stamp with a few extras so you can extend the flourish. Using my Misti I stamped the flourish, sentiment and 2 extra butterflies all at once.

I then colored the butterflies with my Copic markers. I wanted them to pop off the paper so I also colored around then fading my coloring outwards.

I matted a top folding black card base with a cardstock that coordinated with the butterflies. I added my topper and finally, to break up the white space I added some matt yellow enamel dots.

I like to batch make cards and this one is easy to replicate a number of times once you have the stamps arranged.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope this post gave you some inspiration for using Butterfly Kisses.

Friends are the best gifts

Good morning, it's day 2 of virtual school and all is well!

As it's Tuesday that means one thing here on my blog.......Digi Choosday!!! The design team's inspiration this week is summer splash - CAS card for a Friends. I decided I would use Horace and Boo, They have some great summer images and this one I felt fit with the theme:

It was a very simple card to make as I used pre-colored images. I resized the Slurpies image from the Horace and Boo Big Kahuna Collection and added my sentiment which is part of the same collection. I then printed this onto stamping card. I matted a black card base with deep pink cardstock and added my image. Finally I added Crystal Glace to both noses.
