Agnes gets wheels!

 Good afternoon! it's a nice cool rainy day here and I'm loving it for a change!

I'm back with another inspiration design for the Polkadoodles Too Cute new release. Today it's Agnes' turn and she's having fun on a scooter!

What I Did:

Agnes was resized and printed on stamping card I colored her with alcohol markers and then fussy cut her using my Scan N Cut. I matted an A7 card base with orange cardstock and digital patterned paper. I then chose a yellow cardstock and matted a further piece of patterned paper the was added to my base. I printed a sentiment and added this and 2 die cut panels to my card. Agnes was then positioned using foam squares to give her some dimension. Finally I added a few enamel dots in a coordinating color.

Winnie Wednesday and her Skull!

 Good afternoon, Thank goodness it's Friday, my week days are filled with supervising school work so the weekend means a mental break!

Today I'm showing more of the New release stamps from Polkadoodles. I'm once again using Boneshakin Halloween Winnie Wednesday:

What I Did:

I stamped the image and pumpkin onto stamping card, I then used my scan n cut to cut the images out before I colored them with alcohol markers.

I matted a black A2 card base with orange card stock, I also cut a mat from black cardstock but die cut a Halloween aperture from this before adhering to my card. I stamped the sentiment in the middle of the aperture and arranged my images on the card to finish the design.

Too Cute - Doing a bit of Gardening

Good afternoon! It's a holiday weekend and we are spending it relaxing at home with 8 dogs! Yes I'm dog sitting and having fun!

 Today's card is another from Polkadoodles' new release. We have little Gil bunny doing a spot of gardening - it looks like that pumpkin is ready for picking!

What I Did:

I started by printing out the image onto stamping card and coloring it with alcohol markers. I then printed 2 digital design papers, I die cut a flower inset die from one of these.

I then matted a 5x7 in card base with green cardstock and one of my papers. The die cut paper and my image were also matted onto green card and added to the card at apposing angles. The image was adhered in place with foam tape to give some dimension.

Waddy picking out his Christmas Tree

 Good Morning! The sun is still shining here and temps are still up so who knows when fall will start!

I'm back today with another inspirations design for the Polkadoodles Too Cute Release. Waddy has been to pick his Christmas tree:

What I Did:

I started by resizing my image and sentiment and then printing them on stamping card. I colored the image with Copic markers and added glitter to Waddy's hat 

I then die cut him using an oval nesting die. I also cut the frame and the one next size up from green cardstock.

To make my design paper I opened a design paper from Pretty Sweet  in my graphics program, I then layered images from Baked With Love Foliage in a random design. This was printed and matted along with green card stock onto a 5x7 in card base.

I then added my image to the center of my card and layered the green frames around it. 

My sentiment was matted with green cardstock and adhered to my card with foam tape. Finally I added some glitter enamel dots to balance the design.

Let's Get Together!

Good morning! I wish it would cool down, the temperature is just too unbearable to be out in. I have to make sure the dogs aren't out in it long.

Hey it's Tuesday again which means a new challenge over at Digi Choosday and this time the design team's inspiration is all about getting together with a friend:

What I Did:
I resized and printed Winnie Fruit Punch One for you! onto stamping card along with a sentiment that i felt fit the theme. She was colored with alcohol markers and trimmed to size.
I die cut 2 frames, one in pink and one in blue.Using foam tape I positioned the pink one around Winnie.
My 7x5in card base was matted with blue card and Polkadoodles Digital design paper. I then adhered the blue frame to the card. Winnie was then added both her and the blue frame were positioned at apposing angles.
My sentiment was matted with both the blue and pink card and added using foam squares.
To finish the card I added glaze to the cocktail glasses Winnie is holding and added a Friend die cut.

Sentiments are the bomb

Good morning, We are covered in snow and temps are below freezing so staying inside to keep warm, what better excuse for hiding away in my craft room!

There is a new challenge starting over at Arty Divas and the sponsor this challenge are a great stamp company, The Project Bin.
I have a whole set on sentiments to use so I decided to make 2 cards:

 

What I did:

For the first card I used a 4.25 x 5.5in card base and matted it with some bright yellow design paper. I then used a sunburst die to cut the sun and it's rays.I placed a gem in the center of this for extra shine! I then stamped the Project Bin sentiment on white card and matted this with the same yellow I had used for my sun burst. This was the placed on foam tape to give dimension.

The second card was also a 4.25 x 5.5in white card base which I matted in purple. I then cut a 1.5in strip of vellum and stamped the sentiment using embossing ink. I then heat embossed using dark purple embossing powder. This was the wrapped around some floral design paper. I didn't have gems in the correct purple so i colored the ones used with an alcohol marker.

Farmer's Father's Day

Good afternoon, I have kind of stopped blogging my personal cards and ones I've made for commissions so thought I would catch up on a few over the next couple of weeks.

When I was little my dad was a farmer, I can remember him threatening to throw me in a pig pen with a huge sow I was terrified of that pig! He still talks about plowing fields with horses and again as kids we would go to shows watching heavy horses pulling farm equipment demonstrating how farming was done before all the high tech equipment.

So the stamps I have used on the Father's Day card I made him so perfect:

The tractor stamp is from Class Act which unfortunately has been discontinued The Plowman is an Art-Kure stamp and both go so well together. 

I colored both with my polychromo pencils and die cut them using Gina Marie designs Frame Oval Stitched dies. I love the effect these dies give when my image has a background as when you cut with them they give you a frame of your image as you can see in the card. I use foam squares to lift the frame section and then adhere the rest of my image using flat glue.

I matted my card base with black card and masculine papers in a tan patterned and a dark red  both digital papers from Nitwit's paper collections. The word DAD was die cut from the same black card. A few coordinating enamel dots completed the design.

We now live in a farming community and often see the Amish using horses to plow and older farm equipment being used, my Dad would love the area.

Pretty little Mushroom house

Good afternoon - arte you ready for some more Mushroom Lane cuteness from Riley and Company?

I used the last little house in the new release to make a pretty card House with a Clothes Line:

I colored the image with alcohol markers adding pencil to give the shading more dimension. I used chalks for the sky and ground. I then die cut the image using a lacy edge die. 

I made a card blank and fed this through with the same die, leaving one edge of the die hanging over so it didn't cut into the folded edge of the base card. I made this into an easel card and matted it with the pink card. Another of the new releases - May all Your Troubles sentiment stamp was then stamped onto white card and die cut with the same lacy die. Some Crystal drops just finished off the look

Nobody is perfect!!!

Good morning, windy day here but still warm and sunny - the wind is actually freshening the air so it's welcome! Least we don't have threats of hurricane like my friends in the south - stay safe down there!

I'm here today with my monthly spotlight for Scrap N Dipity. There are times when things just don't go right for us no matter what we do and we all have to accept that nobody is perfect even little fairies. The Digi stamp I am using today is no exception say hi to Hang in there Fairy

She is clinging to that branch for her life!

I have colored the image with alcohol markers. I then die cut the stitched frame around her and before I removed the image from the die I inked it with distress inks. The frame is actually a straight rectangle but I cut around one set of the stitched patterns to create the wavy edge.

I chose hot pink plain and dotty papers to mat my card and layered my image on top of them. 

I typed up the sentiment on my PC and again die cut and inked then cut around the stitched pattern. As I had placed my image at an angle I used foam dots to adhere the sentiment at the opposite angle.

A few liquid pearls just finished the design.

A flower a Day

Good afternoon, well we are almost mid way through April and the weather is cold here in Michigan 

I'm back today with my second Guest Design Team showcase card for 2 Paper Divas. I am using the same stamp sets as my last post for them but in a different way to show how versatile these stamps are.

I have colored the sunflowers with alcohol markers and used a stitched edged die to cut it out. I stamped the sentiment and used the same set of dies for this just a smaller version. I then matted my card base with some orange cardstock, I placed a patterned ribbon around some coordinating design paper and adhered this to my card.

I then used the stitched die to cut 2 more coordinating cardstock mats and positioned these under my image on the left side of the card. Positioning my sentiment on the right I used small enamel dots to look like pins holding it in place. I then added a few dots to my image.

Some Bunny Loves you

Good afternoon! We had a huge dump of snow yesterday but it's supposed to disappear quickly and we have temperatures of 60+F forecast for next week! - Here's hoping!!!!

I'm kicking off some Easter makes with my post today, The Scrapoholic Candy Shop has released some adorable Easter digi stamps this week and I couldn't resist coloring up this adorable Bunny Butt!

Isn't it just the cutest???

It's from the Coloring Fun Collection, the sentiment is separate but I decided to place it within the egg - that's the advantage of digi stamps you can play around with the size and order of everything. 

I colored the image with my Spectrum Noir Markers and die cut that and the checked design paper with Gina Marie's stitched circle dies. 

The papers are from Lili of the Valley, I matted the pink onto my card base and used the others to accent my image.

I found the ribbon in the clearance section in my local Walmart's Store this morning and couldn't resist popping this and another 6 roll into my cart :)

I added some enamel dots just to balance the card - a super cute card for a super cute image!!!
