Ugly Jumper

Good morning everyone, you would have thought Fall had already set in with the weather this week! We are promised summer will return this weekend!

Today is my showcase over at the Jiggery Makery Facebook group. As it's been so chilly I thought I'd make a Christmas card.
The pin-up I have used this week is Kathy and boy does she look unhappy!

Yes even pin-ups get to wear the ugly jumpers we all love to hate!

I have colored her with my Spectrum Noir Markers and added a touch of glitter to her hat. Once colored I printed out the wording on my PC then die cut the topper shape using a Spellbinder die. I matted my card blank with some red card and a sheet of Christmas paper from my stash. I then added a further piece of red card before adding my image topper. I have offset all the layers to work with the expression on Kathy's face LOL

I few star shaped tiny buttons just finish off the design

Thanks for stopping by, Kathy can be found in other jumper designs over at the Jiggery Makery Etsy shop if you care to take a look!

Love takes off the mask

Good afternoon a little late blog for me but been finishing off the school supply shopping before Mollie and James head back to school.
How are we all doing with this month's challenge over at So Suzy Stamps? - I hope you plan on entering.
If you need stamps I can give you 20% off in the store until the end of August just use my coupon code SHARON20 at the checkout!

I am showcasing a card using the Venetian Mask and Love Takes off The Mask sentiment stamps today, the sentiment has deep meaning for me. I used to wear a constant mask hiding behind it but since meeting Kev I have no longer had to hide he has taken away all my hurt and fears.

This is a simple card to make. I matted a white card blank with gray and black card. I then stamped the Venetian Mask onto white card using a London Fog Momento ink pad I angled it in different directions so I could use as a background. Then using black ink I stamped the sentiment in the center of the card before adhering it to my card. I have then used some crystal gems just to highlight areas of the masks.

Thanks for stopping by and before you leave hit the August tab on the top right column of the So Suzy Stamps blog and enter our challenge. If you don't have a blog - don't worry you can enter over at our Facebook group

Witching hour

Good morning, I can now tell you all about the great new design team I have joined. I have already showcased one of Julia's fabulous digi-stamps but today is my official first design team showcase.

I am on Julia's New release team and today she has released this wonderful image

This is the Gothic Witch and can be found in Julia's Etsy Store. Isn't she just fabulous!!! As soon as I saw her I knew I had to use purple and black on her........

I have colored her with a mixture of Spectrum Noir markers and Polychromo pencils. As she is a gothic witch I wanted to give her the pale complexion and I achieved that by coloring her with a pale marker then blending out using a colorless blending pen. I have used Wink of Stella on her cape and a silver Stardust Gelly Roll pen on her hair and the spider's webs.

I used a scalloped 8x8 card blank and matted this with black card. The papers are from a 6x6 Authentique Halloween pad called Moonlit and matted onto purple card. I then used both colors of card to mat my image.

Some purple and black Gems were made by coloring clear ones with alcohol markers and I have added these onto the image and mats.

She is a great image for your Halloween makes - you can find more inspiration from my fellow design teamies over on Julia's Facebook Fan page!

Hey Ginger

Good morning, I am here to share another beautiful image from Jiggery Makery. Adele designs some gorgeous pin up girls who are all available in her Etsy store.
For today's card I am using Ginger

here she is watering her sun flower!

I have colored her with Spectrum Noir markers and matted her onto pink card. I have then chosen a flowered patterned paper from my stash which matches tonally to the pink card to mat onto the white card blank.
Some flowers and some pink pearls are the only embellishments I think this card needed

Why not pop over to the Jiggery Makery Facebook group where you can find more inspiration from my other talented Teamies

Happy Birthday Friend!

Good afternoon, It is the birthday of someone who I have become very good friends with - we are both crafters with similar tastes and likes. Although we have never met we chat daily and have a giggle!

So to celebrate I made her a card using one of  Julia Spiri's  gorgeous images called Fairy.

I fell in love with these images as soon as I saw them on her Facebook Group as did my friend! Hasn't she just got the most adorable face!
I have colored her using my Spectrum Noir Markers and although you can't see on the picture she has very sparkly wings and bag thanks to a little Wink of Stella
I matted the image and some pretty patterned paper onto lilac card. The tag is a spellbinder die with baker's twine threaded through. I have used a stamp from my stash for the sentiment. couple of clear gems on her wing and purse just added finishing touches.

Julia will be starting a challenge blog in September and the design team have already started posting there if you want to check it out

Happy Birthday Amy xxx

A new baby and why country girls rule!

Good morning. The weather has been hot! hot! hot! here so I've stayed indoors crafting with the cool air blowing and lots of iced water!

It's Monday so that can only mean another fabulous release from Paolo at My Whimsical Little World.
I am show casing not one but 2 collections of her great digi stamps today the first one being another of her gorgeous little babies

Lil' Monster - Isn't she adorable! well she can be a he or a she but I wanted a girly look! I have colored her with my Spectrum Noir Markers and die cut her into an oval. I then took some bright pink card and some muted floral paper and die cut these with a lacy border die from Memory Box. These were then layered onto a white card blank. Before adhering the top layer I wrapped some pink "It's a Girl" ribbon around the lacy edge. I then glued my topper in place and used a Signature die for the bunting.

I love pink and girly however, living out in farming land it isn't always possible to have the girly look. Got to be a country gal at times and don the Jeans and a Tee and get down and dirty.

Meet Amy and Hammy! Yes there is a touch of pink in there! The images are separate digi-stamps but I have used the PNG formats of them and combined Amy, Hammy and the Haystack. once printed I have colored them with Spectrum Noir Markers. I have then inked the edges with distress ink to give it more of a farmy look!
I matted my white card blank with brown card and then distressed some burlap paper and string. I used this to mat my colored image and pc generated sentiment on.
Some enamel dots just add a finishing touch!

Ok so I know that you are dying to make your own designs with these new gorgeous images so pop over to the Etsy shop and get started then land back on the Facebook Group for some more inspiration from my teamies!

Maybe you can use them to enter our challenge and win some more of Paolo's gorgeous digis.

A Jiggery Makery Birthday

Good morning! I have 2 things to share with you today, I have been given a temporary position on Jiggery Makery's Design Team.
Adele has some gorgeous pin-up digi stamps that are a little risqué without being over the top rude!

My second news is it is my Wonderful Hubby's birthday today and what better an occasion to share both bits of news!
I have made him a birthday card using Lucy - One of the images from Jiggery Makery

I have colored the image with Spectrum Noir markers - Having never colored so much skin, I was a little worried I wouldn't be able to get even skin tone color over all her body but I think I succeeded. This is also one of the first blondes I have done and am happy with they way the hair eventually turned out!

After coloring the image I printed the sentiment using my PC. This was then matted onto black card I then used a heart patterned paper from my stash as just a little color again matted onto black card and onto a white card. The images are so classy that I feel they do not need much embellishment.

You can find Lucy and many more pin-up images over at Jiggery Makery's Etsy shop and also you can call by their Facebook page for some great inspiration from the rest of the design team.

Keep the Sun shining

Good morning, we are getting a bit excited in our household as Mollie has received a letter telling her who her next Teacher will be -and I'm excited as they will be back in school in less than a month !!!!

Over at So Suzy's store they are having an ACT swap and some of us Design Team Gals have joined in. So today I am going to share my little cards.

Here are all 7 of them. I have used The Happy Sunshine stamp and colored it in with Spectrum Noir Markers. The sentiment stamp is from a collection called Dreamy Days by Lili of the Valley - I needed something that would fit on the 3.5x2.5 inch card. I have then used a bright yellow card to mat the image onto another white layer.

Here is a closer look

As it won't be long before the weather changes and, for me at least, the snow starts to fall I thought this happy little message would brighten anybody's day!

Heavy Journey

Good morning - It's been a busy weekend this week and It's good to be able to sit and rest for a while!

Well today is the release of a brand new image over at My Whimsical Little World and how adorable she is.

She is called The Struggle - what was brought to mind when I saw this image is that life can sometimes drag you down and just a thoughtful act like giving a card can lighten the load!

I have printed the image on Spectrum Noir Ultra smooth white card and as always colored her with my Spectrum Noir Alcohol markers. I have then used purple card and patterned paper from Lili of the Valley to mat her onto. The sentiment was printed using my PC and I colored the gems to match the image, although they look darker in the photo.

We now have a new monthly challenge over at My Whimsical Little World challenge blog so why not color up an image and come and join us The theme is anything goes and if you enter using one of our fab images you get entered into the prize draw 3 times!

Don't forget to pop over to the Esty store and get The Struggle- maybe you can use her in the challenge!

This little Guy is called Snowman - Bring it on. I have colored him with Spectrum Noirs and although it doesn't show well in photo I have glittered the snow. Feeling Beachy

Good morning - one more month of Summer break left - I can survive this!!!!! The school break is just way too long.

yes it's August the first which means another challenge starts over at So Suzy Stamps. The theme this month is under the sea - although my card is a beach theme the lovely little turtle does venture under the sea!

This little guy is has been colored with my spectrum noirs and fussy cut . The frame card was made from 2 beach scenes I printed on my PC and a template from My Craft Studio. I typed the sentiment onto one of the scenes. I then made up the frame and centered it over the wording, ensuring I matched the beach lines up before gluing it in place.

I stole a couple of starfish and a shell from Mollie's collection and added these as embellishments.
