Night Owls

Good Morning, it's summer finally. although it's felt like summer for a few weeks here.

I love owls, in fact my family would tell you I am crazy about them so for today's post I have been having fun with the Raisin Boat Night Owl stamp set:

I made my night sky by stamping the moon and masking it. I then blended 3 different distress inks over my card to give a shaded night sky. I stamped the branch from the stamp collection and colored this brown. I then stamped the Night Owl sentiment in the middle of my moon.

These little scruffy bundles of fun were colored with alcohol markers and fussy cut.

I glued them in place on my branch.
My card base was matted with black card before adding my design.

Wedding Season

Good morning, it's been a while but I'm back with another great moodboard challenge from SumMore Fun.
As it's June (well Almost July) this theme is great for weddings. Or if you looker deeper into it can be used for any summer party. The colors can be used for any design.

My card has followed the wedding wedding theme:

I love the font on the SumMore fun sentiment Best Wishes and it leads the way for my card. I have chosen to make my card very lacy. I chose some cream card and stamped the sentiment in the center. I then die cut top and bottom with a lacy die. I then die cut a longer length of pink card with same die. These were both adhered to my cream base card. I chose some design paper that also had a lacy pattern on it and being frugal and not using a whole sheet, I cut a smaller piece to slide under the lacy edges both top and bottom.
I attached a small rose and a few pink and cream pearls to finish the design.

So do you want to join our challenge and get the chance to win a gift certificate to SumMoreFun? Oh and the prize doubles if you use stamps from from the store!
