Fit For Life

Good afternoon, who is still on track for any new years resolutions they made? I usually wait until January is out of the way before setting my yearly goals - too much going on in January for a new start!

Kate Hadfield has some great images for new starts and I have used some of her digital stamps for todays inspiration:

These images are part of her Shaping up stamps, there are a number of  digital images related to fitness and health in the collection. There is also a pre-colored collection that is great of digital scrapbooking.
I grouped some of the images together and added the sentiment before printing on stamping card and coloring with Copic markers. I matted an A7 card base with coordinating cardstock and added my image. a clean and simple card just right for new beginnings!

Kate has a whole host of images on her website - some are even freebies so head on over and have a look!

Thanks for stopping by, I would appreciate you letting me know what you think of my card in the comments.

Full heart with the cutest Love

Good morning! Can you believe it's the end of January already!

Valentine's Day will be here in 2 weeks and my inspiration was to show how you can use our digital images for a masculine card. I have used 2 collections Full Heart for the image and Cutest Love for my sentiment:

2 hearts were layered on top of each other and the sentiment placed against them. The color of love was changed to give it more of a focal point. My design plus an extra heart was printed onto stamping card. All 3 hearts were colored with Copic markers. I then fussy cut and shaped the extra heart, this was laid it on top of the red heart on my design. Glue gel was used to adhere it into place.

Once this was dried  my card was constructed using a black card base matted with red cardstock and my design. This gave a clean and simple guy card!

Driving By to a New Home

Good morning! I know many of you have had snow, we have too but that is normal for this time of year. On a positive note daylight is getting longer so the nights don' get dark as early.

I'm posting today with inspiration for a new home card. I always wanted a Beetle car when I was younger but it never happened. Joy Clair's  Driving By stamp set has a fab beetle car that you can customize to use for many occasions:

I decided to make a card saying We've Moved. For the first time I also attempted to draw a scene for the card freehand. I stamped the card on to stamping card and decorated with flower and smiley stamps included in the set. I then added the suitcases to the roof. I then drew in the tree and building with pencil and added a road. The image was colored with Copic markers and I outlined my drawings with a multiliner so it fit well with the black stamped lines of the car.

I matted a white card base with black card and added my image. Finally I stamped the sentiment which is one of many in the Driving By stamp set. I matted this with black card and added it to my image with foam squares.

Thank you for stopping by. I will be back during the month with more inspiration from Joy Clair. Also my teamies will be sharing with you over on the Joy Clair Facebook Group.

Only Smell.... Coffee and Flowers

hope everyone is safe and well. My project today is all about Coffee and flowers. Personally I don't like the taste of coffee but I know I'm in the minority!

3 stamp sets were used for this card, The coffee cup is from Coffee Mood:

My cup sleeve needed a pattern so I used a bloom from Beauty Love to decorate this before I printed 2 cups onto stamping card, one was fussy cut the other I just cut the sleeve from it. My design paper was made by resizing lots of the same flowers arranging in a random pattern and printing on stamping card. All the images were colored with Copic markers. I matted my card base with coordinating card stock and the design paper.

Cups aren't flat so my cup needed to look like a cup on the paper so I curved it and the sleeve into shape with my fingers and used  glue gel to adhere to my card base.

I then needed a sentiment to coordinate and found the perfect one in a third digital set - Coffee Flavors. This was printed onto card stock and matted with the coordinating cardstock before being adhered to my card with foam tape.

This demonstrates how you don't need to stick with one stamp set for for project even though each set has lots of images, as I've shown you can pull images from a few sets and they will still coordinate with each other.

You can check out all the sets I have used and all of Joy Clair's products over in their store.

New Beginnings

Good evening! Hope everyone is keeping safe and well. Winter is upon us. We have had temps below freezing all week and the snow is hanging around.

My post today is to show a project made for the House Mouse challenge, their optional theme this time is New Beginnings and what is more new than a new baby:

This card is made in layers I used an A7 card base and an A2 one. I cut 3/4 in from the front of the A7 card and matted the front and inside with teal card stock and design paper, a length of ribbon was glued to the center of the card under the inside layers. I stamped the super cute image onto stamping card and colored it with Copic markers. The edges were then inked with distress oxide to coordinate with A7 card. I then took the A2 card base and turned it around so it opened from the left. I matted the inside with the same cardstock and design paper. I then glued a length of ribbon to the back of this and then the card base was glued inside the A7 base:

I wrapped the ribbon around the front of the A2 card and glued my stamp card in place. This gave me a card that opens in multiple layers from opposite sides.
Finally I added a matted sentiment to the inside.

The ribbon then ties at one side to keep it all together.

As I said previously I am entering this card into the House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge

Thanks for stopping by and if you love what you see please let me know in the comments.

Cup Of Joy - Spring is Coming!

Good morning! I don't know about you but once the holidays are over with I look forward to spring, it helps me deal with the snow that we have here in Michigan.

My post today is using a digital collection from Joy Clair that I originally colored back in September in fall colors so I thought I would give it a spring theme:

Cup of Joy is a stunning collection of tea cups with floral accents. I resized the image and printed it 3 times along with some of the extra flowers that are also in the collection.

I then fully colored one of the images and partially colored the other 3. These were then cut in to so I could decoupage them on top of the full image. Giving my card some definition.

I had added a sentiment from the Floral Friendship Collection before I printed the image. I added some of the single flowers to the card and added it onto a A7 card base with a green coordinating mat.

Finally I added some prills to the center of some of the flowers.

Thank you for stopping by. I will be back during the month with more inspiration from Joy Clair. Also my teamies will be sharing with you over on the Joy Clair Facebook Group.
