Get Hipster this Valentine's Day

Hello! Well winter has definitely settled in, we have lots of snow temperatures have been sub-zero for at least the last 10 days!

I'm staying home, nice and warm creating in my Craftroom. I have some amazing news, I was invited to join the Maker Forte design team and I accepted. My first products arrived this week and I am so excited to share my first creation with you.

This stamp set is called Hipster Valentine and Thought it was quite quirky and different for Valentine's Day.

I started the card by stamping the images on to white stamping card with Maker Forte Remarkable Ink and coloring with my Copic markers. I had also stamped the images onto masking paper and used these to cover the images while I decorated the back ground.

Bokeh Circle Stencil was used to give me a cool effect. I ink blended through the smallest stencil with Maker Forte color Hive Welsh Dragon ink then, after cleaning the Stencil, turned it 90 degrees and repeated the step with Tiptree Jam ink.

When I removed my masks it gave the impression that the images are on top of the background!

Using Welsh Green Cardstock I matted an A2 card base and added my card front.

To finish the card I used Crystal Clear Glue on the heart to give a raised glossy addition.

Thank you for taking time to read my post and if you have any comments please let me know below!

Scrumptious Sweet Valetines

Good Morning! how's the weather where you are? we've had some crazy times, was warm on Christmas day, we've had high winds, rain, freezing temperatures and snow!

this is the first of 2 posts, I was invites to join the Not Too Shabby design team and I have had fun designing my first card for them. I used the Sweet Valentine image and sentiments:

Doesn't this look delicious! I colored the image with Copic markers, I added white glaze pen to the 'icing' on the biscotti and white gel pen to the heart on the mug. I fussy cut the image and edged it with black so not to have white paper edges showing.
My card was matted with red cardstock and Kraft heart patterned paper. I adhered my image in place and then using foam tape added my sentiment.

My mug is full of hot cocoa - anyone knows me knows I hate coffee! and of course the cupcake had to be chocolate. A great Valentine's snack to have on a girl friend's afternoon out!

Thanks for stopping by, please go check out Jamie's store - Not 2 Shabby, she has some fab stamps and also sells crafty goodies from other companies.

It's cold outside

Good afternoon! the first week of the year has passed - how did it go for you?

the sale at Stamper's Delights continues all images (excluding bundles or zodiac kits) are 50% off so go shop until you drop!

My inspiration today is using a chibi image It's Get-Well-Girl however I have used her for a winter card:

I printed her onto stamping card and colored her with Copic markers - I did make a bit of a boo boo i colored the left part of her pillow same as the blanket - but hey it looked like the folds of her blanket so I left it.
I worked out where my image was going to sit and die cut a window from teal colored cardstock sized to mat onto an A7 card base. I  worked out where I wanted my image to sit and die cut the window. This was also from Kraft card, then both windows were glued together.
I sent the teal card through my printer adding my typed sentiment to it.
The back of the window 'hole' was covered with snowflake patterned paper, turned over and matted on to my base. The windows were adhered into the hole giving me a window frame.
Finally I added my image with foam tape. I decorated her mug with snowflakes - I often look like this when we have been out with the fur babies - huddled in a blanket with a hot cup of cocoa.

Snow Happy!

 Good morning and Happy weekend!

January is well under way now before you know it it will be spring but until then I will be showing some winter cards including this one!

Snow Happy is from Not 2 Shabby and would be me if I was a snowman:

All set up with his donuts and hot cocoa.
I colored the image with Copic markers and trimmed the edges with my deckle edge guillotine.

I typed up the sentiment - I think it was fitting for the image.
This was printed in a coordinating color that matched well with my mats
An A7 card base was matted with a snowflake background. My image and sentiment we adhered onto teal cardstock and added.

A few sparkly gems finished the design.

You will be seeing more cards designed with Not 2 Shabby images as I was chosen to join their design team - I am looking forward to sharing you inspiration with you all.

Art in Progress

Good afternoon! Happy New Year! Hope everyone had a great Christmas, we certainly did!

Stamper's Delights are having a mega  sale this month, all images (excluding bundle deals or zodiac kits) are 50% off for the whole of the month - no minimum or maximum purchase!

My inspiration I have used Anime Graffiti Jill:

She is busy decorating a wall with her art work. I colored the image and sentiment with Copic markers and then masked it with post-it tape.
I sprinkled Brusho powers over the card and spritzed with water This gave me the gorgeous colored bursts.
I matted an A2 card base with florescent pink card and then my image.
