Get Hipster this Valentine's Day

Hello! Well winter has definitely settled in, we have lots of snow temperatures have been sub-zero for at least the last 10 days!

I'm staying home, nice and warm creating in my Craftroom. I have some amazing news, I was invited to join the Maker Forte design team and I accepted. My first products arrived this week and I am so excited to share my first creation with you.

This stamp set is called Hipster Valentine and Thought it was quite quirky and different for Valentine's Day.

I started the card by stamping the images on to white stamping card with Maker Forte Remarkable Ink and coloring with my Copic markers. I had also stamped the images onto masking paper and used these to cover the images while I decorated the back ground.

Bokeh Circle Stencil was used to give me a cool effect. I ink blended through the smallest stencil with Maker Forte color Hive Welsh Dragon ink then, after cleaning the Stencil, turned it 90 degrees and repeated the step with Tiptree Jam ink.

When I removed my masks it gave the impression that the images are on top of the background!

Using Welsh Green Cardstock I matted an A2 card base and added my card front.

To finish the card I used Crystal Clear Glue on the heart to give a raised glossy addition.

Thank you for taking time to read my post and if you have any comments please let me know below!

Halloween Fun

Good afternoon! I'm so over the heat of summer and can't wait for the fall temperatures. Fall is my favorite season, I love all the color changes and crisp air.

With Fall comes Halloween and Stamper's Delights Kawaii new release this month is all about the dress up with the re-release of the cutie Frankie-Stein:

He's all ready to head out trick a treating! I started by designing my background. I used a star (included in the collection!) and copied and pasted it numerous times then printed and colored it. Frankie was colored with Copic markers and I fussy cut him. When I added him to the star background the colors of the stars were too busy. I decided instead of adding a sentiment to the image to do the same as my background but printed it onto striped vellum This over lay toned down the colors of the stars making Frankie pop more!

I matted a black card base with Orange card, and added all my layers. Frankie was then added using foam squares to give dimension.

Head on over to the Stamper's Delights Store to see all of this week’s New Releases.

God Guides

Good Morning, We still have gorgeous weather and are enjoying time at home.

I'm here today with some inspiration from this month's Joy Clair new release. The digital stamp set God Guides is just beautiful, gorgeous florals and sentiments. I chose to use one of the florals to make a wreath and Psalm 27:14

I opened God's Grace in a graphics program and arranged my design before printing on to stamping card. The flowers were colored with alcohol markers, I added a ribbon and slider and matted onto a white card base with a dark blue mat.

Be sure to check out all this month's new release on the Joy Clair store website. You can also see more inspiration here or on the Joy Clair Facebook page and Fan Group. You can also find them on Instagram and Pinterest.

Spread Happiness!

Good afternoon, I hope everyone is staying well! We had snow again over night, woke to a blanket of the stuff but with the sun out this afternoon it has soon disappeared.

I have been coloring up some of Sherry West's gorgeous images over the last few weeks, she loves what I do with them so has invited me to join her new design team so today's make is my first inspiration as part of the team.

Meet Princess Petunia Penelope Posey Poppi Posh Piglet - Yes she has such a great name that she is called Peppy Piggie for short!

What I Did:
I resized and printed the cute image on stamping card and colored the princess with alcohol markers.
I then matted a 7x5in card base with burgundy cardstock and a delicate floral digital paper. My Images was then matted with same cardstock and I worked out where I was going to position it so I could fit my sentiment onto the card. This was then stamped in black ink and my imaged adhered in place with foam tape.

What I Used:
Stamping Card: Xpress-It
Alcohol Markers: Copic
White cardstock for Base: Core'dinations Premier Card
Burgundy Cardstock: Core'dinations
Digital Design Paper: Polkadoodles
Sentiment Stamp: Honey Bee Stamps: Happiness
Ink: Versafine
Glue: Zipdry
Foam tape: from my stash

Thanks for stopping by, you can see all of Sherry's images on her Etsy Store and for more inspiration check out her Facebook Group.

Easter Blessings

Good morning, it's a President's Day here so a holiday. It is great to have a long weekend with family.

Today is also the start of a new challenge over at Jan's Digital Stamps Challenge. She has some gorgeous new releases this month and my card today is showcasing Cottontail Easter a cute set that is ideal for your Easter crafts:

What I Did:
I used my graphics program to build the scene of the bunny, the eggs and the sentiment all of which are included in the set. I then printed this onto stamping card and colored with Copic markers. I recorded my first ever You Tube video while coloring which you can view here.
I then matted an 8x8 in Card base with Yellow cardstock and a spring like paper. I also matted a smaller Easter paper with the yellow card and positioned this on my card
I added my matted image with using foam tape to give dimension. A few nuvo drops just balanced the design.

What I Used:
Jan Mahew: Cottontail Easter digital stamp collection
Stamping card: X-press It
White Card Base: Craft UK
Yellow cardstock: Core'Dinations
Green floral paper: Lili Of the Valley (Retired)
Easter Paper: Digital download (unknown)
Nuvo Drops: Tonic, English Mustard

Jump For Joy

Good afternoon!
Well I think all the sickness has finally left us, I still have a little cough but I can live with that!

We lost all the snow last week overnight! It suddenly warmed up and rained. We went to be with around a foot on the yard and woke to next to nothing. Didn't stay that way though, came back yesterday and has been snowing on and off most of today!

So I usually like clean and simple crafting but for today's make I decided I was going to get a little messy. I'm showcasing a cute stamp set from the delightful Evaney's Stamps Designs called Galaxy Pals and what better way than with an galaxy sky:

I inked the sky using distress inks and then added splashed of opaque white for my stars. Whilst this was drying I stamped out the cute little alien characters and the planet and colored these with bright alcohol markers.
Once my galaxy was dry and cut to size I arranged my characters along with the planet onto it - had to have one peeking 👽👽.
I then stamped my sentiment my alien speak (zeep zeep) using versamark and embossed this with white powder.
To make up the card I made a black card base, matted it with white card and added my top layer.

Why not pop over to Evaney's Stamp Designs and see the other cute stamp and die sets available.

New year blessings

Hello and Happy New Year. I hope everyone had a happy and safe new year's eve. We spent the evening with good friends and good food!

New year is when we wish the best for the people we know so I'm starting with a card that does just that:

There is some exciting news coming along with this card. I have been chosen to join a design team of an up and coming new stamp company Evaney's Stamp Designs.
They have some great sets of stamps that are crammed full of images and sentiments. They also have matching dies which takes away the tedious fussy cutting!

Today I have used their set called Lively Kitchen. I have however just used a couple of the cute little images and one of the many sentiments from the set. There is way more stamps on there to use!

I stamped a border top and bottom of some white card using the sweet little cup stamp multiple times.
I then centered the sentiment before stamping the tiny hearts to look like red confetti.

I matted my white card base with red and blue card to compliment my topper. I didn't need to use any embellishments as the images made the card complete.

Thanks for stopping by and if you like what you see hop on over to Evaney's Stamp Designs store. For more inspiration check out their Blog, FaceBook Page and Instagram from more designs from my teamies

Kick up your heels

Good Morning!
Well was Santa good to all of you? I hope you had a blessed day and enjoyed time spent with loved ones.

My card today gives you a little insight into my personality:

Despite growing up in a city I am a country girl at heart, give me boots and jeans and I'm happy.

The stamps I have used today are from 2 Raisin Boat sets sold by SumMore Fun first one is Urban Cowgirl I have used the lasso, horseshoe and Urban Cowgirl sentiment from this set. Both stamped in a dark brown ink. I then Stamped the rest of my wording using the Goes with Mountain Country Gal set along with the boots which I colored with Copic Markers.
I used a white card base, matted with black card, I inked the edges of my topper with distress ink to tie in with the colors of my stamped images.

A few enamel dots completed my design.

So kicking up your heels fits in with the theme of the current moodboard challenge over at SumMore Fun - who likes to party on New Year's Eve?

This shows that your card for the challenge doesn't need to be all sparkly just use the colors included in the mood board! There is still plenty of time to get your entries in

Thank you for stopping by, If you are looking for more inspiration check out my teamies cards on the BlogFaceBookInstagram and Pinterest.

Victorine Originals Mood Board Challenge

Good afternoon! I hope my American friends have all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and are not still in a food coma. Who took advantage of the many Black Friday deals? We have shopped some of them more on line than in-store though.

Today is my debut for Sum More Fun - I found out a few weeks back that I had been given the open design team position and since I just love their stamps I am so thrilled to be on the amazing team.

Sum More Fun have a mood board challenge, you can win a $20 gift certificate - If you use a Victorine Originals or Raisin Boat Products the prize doubles.

Your project inspiration can come from the photos, the colors palette, and/or the theme. Cards, ATC, Mixed Media, Scrapbook Layouts, Journaling, and Planners are welcome.
Please read the rules before entering!

On to my make, I am following the color palette:

I have used the Empty Snow Globe Stamp Stamped it onto x-press It cardstock and colored it with my Copics then cut the center circle out of the globe adding snow covered acetate to this..
I stamped the tiny string of lights from the Christmas Borders Set across the top of my image and the tiny snowmen from the same set onto a separate piece of card.
After coloring these I fussy cut a bunch of them, wow was that a task! for inside my globe.
I used a snowflake digital paper for inside the globe and made a fake shaker by gluing the cute tiny snowmen and sequins to the digital paper.
this was then layered over the back of the globe.
I matted a 5x7 inch white card based with some pink snowflake patterned paper and then added my image.
A die cut sentiment across the bottom balanced out my design.

Sum More fun is an umbrella name for a number of stamps that are being brought together under one name. Today's make is using the Victorine Original stamps range.

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to go enter the challenge!!!

Save the Date

Here's my last but not least showcase for the Prickley Pear new release week

For anyone planning a wedding I have made a cute little save the date card

I stamped the Save the Date sentiment in embossing ink and then heat embossed gold powder. Next I used the same technique on the banner using black embossing powder - both these stamps are from the Love Banner Stamp set. I added the date in the gold using number stamps. Nothing else was needed this is a timeless look that would be great to follow through as a wedding theme. I used black and gold mats to tie in wit the embossing.

Easter Blessings

Good morning and Happy Sunday!
It's the last day of my week long showcase of the new releases from Prickley Pear and the offers end tonight at midnight so get your orders in before you have to pay full price!

2 different makes from me today I'm kicking off my posts with another Easter card.

I love the simplicity of some of the Prickley Pear stamps and I'm demonstrating this with the Double lilies Stamp. I stamped it twice and colored the stunning flowers with my polychromo pencils. I then used a corner rounder on opposite corners of my topper and inked the card lightly with pink. I Added the Easter Blessings sentiment from the Spring/Easter Banner stamp set . I matted my card base with green card and a plaid pink and green design paper. I then matted my topper with the same green and rounded the corners to match. A few enamel dots were just enough embellishment without distracting from the simple theme of the card.

Spring!

Good morning - yay it's the weekend!!
What are you planning for today - If you are looking to shop for new crafting supplies then check out the new release at Prickley Pear they have some great spring themed stamps and some great offers on them too!

My post today is using some of them:

What a sweet little Bunny Cart Stamp - it so reminds me of images that were on cards when I was a child. I colored it with alcohol markers and die cut using a stitched circle. I also used a sentiment from the Spring/Easter Banner Stamp Set and again die cut with a stitched circle. I then edged both circles with grey ink. I matted my card base with Grey card and a lavender striped paper. This had been stamped with the Left Bunny and Right Bunny Stamps tying in with the rabbit theme. I arranged my image and sentiment on the card base, using foam tape on the sentiment to give dimension. I then added a few purple skittles to balance the card

Cupcake

Good afternoon I'm staying with the sweet treats today!
I've got the cutest cupcake from Prickley Pear to show you

Doesn't that look yummy!

I used the Valentine Cupcake stamp set, stamped colored and fussy cut each piece. I then layered the hearts on the frosting to give more dimension. These were they coated in glossy accents. I shaped the base and the frosting and used glue gel to adhere to my gingham card so that the image maintained its rounded shape.
I matted my card base in bright pink card and added my topper. I then stamped Valentine and the little birds with hearts from the Love Banner Set to balance the image out

Candy candy and more Candy

Good Morning TGIF!!! It's been a busy week and today is no different! House work - yes the dirty word - needs doing before I can enter the craft room!

A sweet day on here today I have some candy to show you! No I haven't made candy but have made some cute gift wrapping for it.
First of all I have a little drawer box to show you:

I made the box using pale and bright pink card. I then stamped the same bright pick with stamps from the Love Banners Set. I colored the hearts and leaves with Glittery gel pens. I then chose a green card to match in with the gel pen and matted this onto the top of the box before adding my images.
I used the pale pink and green card to make a handle for the drawer glued this in place and added gold brads for decoration.
It is filled with chocolate hearts Yummy!

The second wrapping is a gift bag:

Isn't that Love Birds Stamp adorable??
I stamped it twice and colored with Alcohol markers and pencils. I added the Love stamp from the Love Banners Set. I then die cut 2 fancy edged pieces of red card. These were glued together at the top making a fold over top for my candy bag. I matted my colored images onto either side of the card.  I then used a tape runner to adhere the top to the bag.

His Love

Good afternoon, I'm back with my 2nd showcase today for the new release at Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps

Again this one is Easter themed:

I started with matting my card with yellow and green card. I then water-colored a wash on some watercolor card. Once dry I then stamped the Tall Cross and Wishing You an Easter stamps using Versafine ink. This was then adhered to my card base. Nothing else was needed as I didn't want to distract from the simplicity of the card

I have gone out of my comfort zone with my first card. I'm a clean and simple girl by heart but have gone shabby chic with this card:

I really felt that to do this gorgeous Happy Valentine's Day stamp justice I needed to distress the card up a bit. I stamped the image with distress ink and used the same color on the edges of all the papers which I roughed up a bit first. I stuck with the aged color scheme when choosing papers, lace ribbon and pearls. I also inked a heart shaped doily to accentuate the design.

I hope you like my design and it gives you inspiration for using the stamp

Wine!!!

Good afternoon and welcome to my last post for the Riley and Company new release week!

And what a better way to end it than relaxing with a bottle of wine!

What a fantastic sentiment - who needs the gym when you are passing a wine store anyway!

The Windy funny bones sentiment goes great on this bottle gift tag. I used a template to cut the base out and then matted it with blue card and wine themed patterned paper. I then stamped the wine glass, masked this and added Felix. I colored them both in making sure it looked like Felix was looking trough the glass. I inked the edges of the image card and matted with the same blue card as the tag. I then stamped the sentiment and cut this with yet more new dies - yes we now have Word Bubble Dies to cut out all the fab Funny Bones sentiments! and they come in a number of different sizes and shapes  - The die cut was inked and adhered in place so it over hung the tag

Thank you for stopping by, to see all the new release stamps head on over to the new release section of the Riley and Company online store, they still have all the new release offers on:

Faith

Good morning. It's the last day of the Riley and Company release week and I have had a blast sharing all my work with you all

This morning I have a sweet little card to showcase

I love this sentiment - I have had some pretty dark days in the past and my faith and my heart has kept me going.

I stamped the Faith sentiment onto white card and used an oval die. I then inked the card before removing from the die and then used a brighter ink around the edges.
I stamped the love heart from the new valentines accessories set numerous times onto some pink gingham card and matted this with a darker pink card. I used foam tape to place my sentiment and added a few pearls as embellishments

Getting Lucky

Hello - how's your Saturday going?

I'm almost at the end of an amazing week of Riley and Company new releases - but I have so enjoyed making and showcasing all these great cards.

This afternoon how about we get ready for St. Patty's (or Paddy's) Day?

yes Riley has an outfit for most occasions and the patron saint of Ireland gets a look in too!

I have used the Basic Riley, colored him with Alcohol markers and die cut him out. I then used the Valentines and St. Patty's accessory set and gave him a sweater and celebratory hat! Oh and the pints of Guinness are also a stamp and die cut!!!. I matted my card with white and green card adding in a sheet of shamrock patterned paper.
The Getting Lucky sentiment is part of a Funny Bones stamp but I felt it went well as they always say "the luck of the Irish" and Riley is certainly getting lucky with the line up of drinks he has!!

Thank you for stopping by, to see all the new release stamps head on over to the new release section of the Riley and Company online store, they still have all the new release offers on:
