Shaking In The Snow

Good afternoon! I hope everyone had a great Christmas I know we did! Santa was definitely kind to use all.

Today's post is a card using a super cute image from Scrapper's Delights which was a gift for the design team members:

Isn't this a gorgeous Image! I colored it with my Copic markers, after it was colored Mollie said the girl reminded her of Anna from Frozen - I had unintentionally colored her is a similar color scheme!

I haven't made shaker cards for so long that I thought this was the ideal image to do so.
I had some acetate with snow already on it so I used This for my window. I cut an oval aperture from some patterned and foiled cardstock and added the acetate over this.
I then matted my 7x5 inch card blank with a coordinating aqua colored card. I then lined up my image so she would show through the aperture and adhered it to my card base. Using foam tape I covered the back of the aperture card ensuring that there was a seal around the acetate window so the glitter wouldn't fall through.
I added a pile of glitter over the image and placed the aperture cardstock over the base, sealing in the glitter so it would shake loosely.

As the cardstock has snowflakes foiled on to it I didn't feel I needed to add anything else to the card.

I am trying to incorporate more videos in to my crafting so here's a little one showing the shaker!

Candy Cane Thief

Good afternoon, here's the second of my post for today and once again it's showcasing gorgeous images from Scrapper's Delights.

Meet Chibi Fairy Thief:

Isn't the little imp the cutest! I printed her onto X-press it card stock and then fussy cut her and a red card mat using my Scan N Cut. She was colored with Copic markers and had glitter added to her wings.
I then used my graphics program and a candy cane font to make my design paper. I colored the letters with red Copic marker.
I matted a 5x7 inch card base with red card and my backing paper. I then added the little fairy along with her mat. lastly I added a red glitter gem to the berries in her hair.

The Fairy Thief is one of a new festive range of Chibi images:

Aren't they adorable!

Capricorn - The Last Zodiac of 2019

Good afternoon, well we certain had winter arrive with a bang, about 6 inches of snow fell in as many hours. Looks like it maybe here to stay this time!

Over at Scrapper's Delights it's the last anime VIP post of 2019 and we are ending the year with the last Zodiac sign of the year - Capricorn:

Isn't he a stunner! I printed the framed image from the set and have colored him with Copic markers then used distress ink to darken the background.
I then used some of the other elements from the kit to make my seaweed and jellyfish design paper, again these were colored in Copics and washed over with distress ink.
I matted a 5x7 inch white card base and my topper with dark blue card. Once adhered together I added bubbles with Nuvo drops.

If you love Capricorn you can get him and lots of extras free with this week's Anime new release, just buy the 3 new images!
