Shhh! Listen......

Good afternoon! It's Mollie's birthday today and she is having some friends over to celebrate, It's too hot to have a full party so we invited friends she hasn't see in a while so they can have a good catch up!

Stamper's Delights have some cute girly images and I couldn't resist coloring this one up. Mollie is now a teenager so I doubt it will be long before I get this attitude:

Meet Sweet Sassy Girl 2 - She was printed on to stamping card along with her sentiment and I colored her with Copic markers.

I then printed the word pull onto the edge a separate piece of cardstock, this was then cut slightly smaller than my image. There is also some surprise words printed on this.

My image was placed face down and I laid the pull card on top of this. I adhered a strip of cardstock to the left hand side of this and a second strip over the pull card and adhered to the back of my image at the top and bottom of the right hand side. This acts as a stopper. My image was then adhered to an A2 card base and the top bottom and left hand edges of my image. This leaves a pocket so that my pull card can slide in and out.

This gives a great secret slider affect. I added a few purple bubbles to finish my design.

If you love this image there are lots more mermaids over on the Stamper's Delights website. Also if you head to the Fan Facebook group you can enter our Progressive challenge.

Thank you for taking time to read my post and happy crafting!

Christmas is on it's way!

Good morning, I know we are in the middle of a heatwave and I hope everyone is keeping healthy during it.....

BUT.....

It's July which means it's less than 6 months until Christmas and as a crafter I need to start designing my cards and promoting Christmas products.

My card today showcases Maker Forte products so read on for inspiration.

I have used Modern Christmas Watercolors Stamp Set as the main focus of my card, this stamp set has some gorgeous winter stamps. I started with the pine branch. Using Iced Spruce Distress Ink and stamped it randomly on watercolor cardstock. This gave me a background without the need for pre-printed paper.

While the ink was drying on this I stamped the wreath onto the same cardstock. I used British Racing Green Ink, this is a water reactive ink, parts of the wreath are just outlined so using water and a paint brush I pulled the stamped ink out coloring in the holly.

Once this was dry I fussy cut it from the card. I am not a lover of fussy cutting but this image was so easy to cut around.
My card needed a pop of color and as it's a Christmas card red was the perfect color. I cut a red mat 1/8in smaller than an A7 cardbase and trimmed my image so it was 1/4in smaller than my base. This is my favorite size for matting.

I added the mats to my card base and moved on to a sentiment. For this I used Easy Winter Watercolor Scenes stamp set. It has a Merry Christmas that is perfect size for my card. I used the red cardstock for this. after prepping the card with an Anti-Static Pad I stamped using Clear Embossing Glue. This was the heat embossed using Meteor Shower Embossing Powder. Once this was set I again fussy cut so it would fit my card.

I added both the wreath and sentiment to my card using Foam Squares. This gave dimension to my card and, by lifting the images, they didn't get lost in the stamped pattern below them.
The design still needed some thing and as I had used red for the mat I decided some red on the wreath would pull it all together. Roller Skate Crown Jewel Gems were perfect. I added them with Maker's Magic Glue which is great for small objects.
Finally I tied a bow from some red ribbon and added this to the top of the wreath.

Thank you for taking time to read my post, stay safe in the heat and happy crafting!

Pop Bang Pow!

Good morning, hope everyone is staying cool in this heat. We are staying home, the poor dogs are sleeping more than normal to stay cool I think

My card today is showcasing some Maker Forte products great for kids cards. I have used You're Beary Super stamp set are my main focus:

I colored flying images with Copic markers and fussy cut them. The words and stars are from the Comic Frame Papers again I fussy cut them for my card. My A2 Top Folding Card Base was matted with Stormy Speciality Card. I then die cut a circle from an A2 piece of Redwoods Cardstock to give me a frame.
My images were arranged in so they showed through the frame and glued in place. I then added the frame with foam tape. I foiled a Simple Sayings Sentiment with rainbow foil and added this within my word images.
This makes a great card for a little super hero fan.

Love 15!

Good afternoon. We have a lot of work going on this weekend, deck being stripped out and new one laid. Painting hall, stairs and landing. Front door also needs painting. We have a bunch of James's friends coming to help so I will be feeding everyone!

While all of this is going on it's the tennis finals at Wimbledon so my card today is has a tennis theme. Meet Anime Tennis Tess:

She is a digital image available from Stamper's Delights.

I colored her with Copic markers and fussy cut her. I used some digital tennis themed design paper and sized it so it would fit an A2 card base. I used a top folding card base and matted it with pink cardstock. This coordinated with the pink trim on my image. I decided to print the sentiment that came with the image onto the tennis themed paper and added this to my card. My image was glued in place. I then colored the piece behind the racket to match the background so it looked part of the background.

Stamper's Delights has lots of digital images that will fit with any theme, you can check out the store and my teamies' inspiration over on the website.

Thank you for stopping by,  I hope you leave with some inspiration.

Bubbling with Excitement

Good morning, I hope everyone had a fab 4th July, we spent the day with family friends and neighbors. Lots of laughter and fun!

My post today is inspiration for Maker Forte products. I have a love for the gnomes that only have their noses showing - Kev refers to them as G-Nomes.

This stamp set is called Bubbling with Excitement and I think you can see why. Little drunk gnomes drinking their fizz while everything is bubbling around them

The images were stamped with Eclipse black ink, masked and then the bubble stamp was added over them using Icy Mist Ink.

I did some quick Copic coloring and added a sentiment stamped with Vegas Strip Ink.

Before building my card I added Shooting Star Sugar Sprinkles to the bubbles. My A2 side folding card base was matted with Welsh Dragon Cardstock before I added my design.

Thank you for taking time to read my post and happy crafting!
