Cute Wee Dragon!

Good morning and welcome to my mid way reminder for Scribble and Scrap's challenge.

The Scribble and Scrap store is a fab place to get a number of different crafting products. They sell digital as well as physical products and everything has been hand picked to compliment the collections she has. Please stop by and have a look around I'm sure there will be something that you just can't resist!

I have again used the Wee toppers as I am in love with these and think they are just sooo cute!

This sleepy little fellow is taken from the it's a boy sheet. how adorable is he!!! I have used Kraft card as my matting layer and die cut a scalloped shape using a Die'sire die. The gorgeous backing papers are from the Lilibet 6x6 designer papers and Scribble and Scraps Digital Designer range. They are so fitting for this card. They have a delicate pattern on them which is just enough detail without taking from the topper. A few gems just add to the look. I have used some pearls from my stash but you can buy similar ones in the Scribble and Scrap Store.

Thanks for stopping by.

New Design Team

Good morning all - and Happy Thanksgiving to all my American followers!

I have some fab news this morning! So Suzy Stamps is a stamp company over here in the USA based in New Mexico. She sells great stamps some with witty sentiments that sometimes say just what you are thinking. She also has some gorgeous embellishments including the fab skittles stamp kits which can add just a touch of color to your designs.

If you pop onto her Facebook page you can see that she has a special offer on flower soft this week with 10% off the full range of it.

I have been chosen to be one of the first members of her new design team! I received my first parcel of stamps this week which look so pretty in the packaging I didn't want to disturb them.

Every parcel dispatched comes wrapped in lovely tissue paper with your order a little gift of some sequins and a person note from Suzy herself.

My first make along with that of the rest of the design team will be showcased on the So Suzy Stamps blog on the 1st of December as well as on here so come back then and you can check out just a couple of the gorgeous stamps she sells!

Good morning - at least it's stopped snowing - due to return next week but can't be as bad as last week - snowed for 6 days straight!

Today is the start of challenge 32 over at Scribble and Scrap. As always it is Anything goes and you can win a voucher to spend in their fab store. You can find the rules here which are so simple - What's stopping you come on and join us!

What's more They have a 7 day deal from now until 9am next Sunday (or whilst stocks last)  all the Santoro range  is reduced by 10%. All you need to do is select your items and add the code Santoro10 at the checkout. Make sure you remember to add the code as the discount cannot be applied once you have completed checkout.

On to my design team card. I am still in love with the gorgeous Hobby House Wee Toppers.

This is from the Little friends set. Isn't she adorable! I have used Kraft card to mat one of the gorgeous papers from Scribble and Scraps Vintage digital collection. I have distressed the edges of this with a pair od scissors. I have then die cut a scalloped circle from the Kraft card to mount my topper on and added a Dove crafts Cream doily under this to add to the vintage style. The lace ribbon,  pearls and flowers are all from my stash - a bit more embellishment than I usually use but I felt these complimented the gorgeous topper.

New Challenge!

Good morning all I have got some news about a new challenge blog. Get Creative Challenges is a bi-weekly challenge with lots of great sponsors. I have been lucky to be chosen as part of its design team and will be posting my DT work every 4 weeks (as it has 2 teams!)

The challenges start on a Monday and run for the next 2 weeks. You can find the rules here. So come along and follow us and join the challenge!

So Challenge 2 starts today and Whoopsidaisy are sponsoring it this time.

This adorable little girl is taken from one of their digi pages. This is a pre-colored image but you can also get her to color yourself. I have used Lili of the Valley Bonnets and Bowties 8x8 papers matted onto blue and pink card and I've also die cut the pink card to add accents. A bit of polkadot ribbon adds a finishing touch to the top of the card. The sentiment says party time and was printed on my pc before die cut into a tag shape. I felt this was quite fitting given that she is holding bunting.

The backing paper is from the Valentines Designer Paper Collection (which is one of Scribble and Scrap Crafts own designs) and has again been matted onto kraft and green card. I have used a spellbinder wreath die to cut the branches and the holly in the corners. A couple of red gems and some glitter from my stash just finish off the card. After all a cards not a Christmas card without glitter!

Pink Angel

Hello!! Well we had a great weekend if we did have a little snow yesterday but it didn't hang around

Ok so I thought since we started our Christmas shopping yesterday I'd start showcasing my Christmas cards

The gorgeous papers are from Crafter's Companion Mulberry Wood and again these have been matted onto pink card. I have finished with a few dew drops (although they are called Skittles over here!) a simple card which is going to be part of a gift set!

Ok onto my card. The stores sells the most adorable toppers from Hobby House and I will be showcasing quite a few of these over the next few weeks. Today's topper is from the Rosetta collection,

I have inked around the edges of the topper and the card blank to blend her in with the rest of the design. The beautiful 6x6 paper is also from the store and is part of Dove Crafts Curiosity Corner collection. It had the lace and middle flowers already printed on it. I have matted this onto some deep red card from my collection which I have also die cut with spellbinders for the scallop around the topper and the flourishes. The flowers and pearls just accent the design.

One Year Younger

Good afternoon. I've been beavering away in my craft room today making Christmas cards - it's getting nearer and nearer and the weather is certainly turning!

Todays post is not about Christmas though, I'll share them during December.
I was asked to make a card for a female poet and struggled a bit at first but then came up with a lovely image from Joanna Sheen's Patience Strong CD.

The card is very simple to highlight how delicate the verse and image are. I printed it out on super-smooth paper and matted it onto lilac card before mounting it on a A5 cream card blank. The ribbon is from my stash and was originally white but so it matched in with the theme I colored it with my Spectrum Noir pens, made a triple bow and glued it around the lower part of the lilac card. I left it at that so as not to distract from the image.

Anniversay card

Hi I've been missing in action for a couple of weeks - we've changed internet providers and it is just so slow at the moment it takes forever to do anything on here!

But I'm braving it and posting a sweet little card I made for my brother's anniversary. I can't take the credit for the idea I saw a similar card posted on Facebook and loved it.

The papers I have used are from The Scribble and Scrap Store. The lower one is from their own Damask (naturals) Designer Collection and has been embossed. Then the upper wall paper and trim on the towels is from Lilibet 6x6 Designer Papers. They have both been matted onto Core'dinations card. I have used a spellbinders die and pearlescent card for the picture frame and a stamp from my stash. The towel rail and towels are cut from the same pearlescent card and I have hand written the Mr and Mrs onto the towels and used brads to fix the rail to the card.
