Home Sweet Home

Good afternoon, we have had a fun week dog sitting for 2 adorable Shih Zhu's - Grace and Willow. They are such lovable little girls and are so like my Gizzie. They have been perfect house guests and I will be sad to see them go today.

It's a brilliant background theme over on the Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps blog today and as I've been home with all the fur babies this weekend I thought I would do a home sweet home card. The house looks nothing like mine but is so adorable It's part of the adorable Row House Clear stamp set. It comes with so many different house parts and scene builders:

I stamped 3 house sections, the cat and the tree, die cut them using the matching dies and colored with alcohol markers. I then die cut some clouds and using a re-positional glue positioned them on a white piece of card. I them used blue distress ink and a blending tool to cover the card. I then placed my images and using alcohol markers added grass to the bottom of the image. I then stamped flowers from the same stamp set and colored these. I added a die cut of birds on a wire just to finish the scene.
I used a reverse corner rounder on each of my images corners and matted it with blue card. This was then added to a pre-made scalloped card base.

Don't forget there is a blog hop going on until Friday so head out to the Prickley Pear blog to find out more.

Thank you for stopping by I hope you like what you see and if you do please let me know in the comments.

I'm hopping around with Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps and CardMaker Magazine

Good Morning!

It's an exciting day today, Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps are joining with CardMaker magazine for a blog hop!

Do you want the chance to win a $20 gift certificate to spend on the gorgeous stamps over at Prickley Pear? then find out how at the end of my post.

My card for the hop is using the new Danity Dragonflies stamps:

I stamped them onto acetate using archival ink. I then turned them over and colored then with alcohol markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out and they were then shaped so that their wings flutter on the card.
I then stamped 'There is only one happiness' sentiment on to some rainbow design paper and matted this with green card onto a white card base.
The dragonflies were the added being careful to only stick the body down. I added some green gems just to balance the design.

To win the gift certificate all you have to do is hop over to my teamies blogs to see the gorgeous designs they have made. Don't forget to leave them some love along your way,  then head to the Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps blog and leave a comment.

You should have arrived here from Kat's blog and now you need to hop over to see what Melissa has designed for us.

School's Out!

Ok a week late for us but school finished for the long summer break. Exciting times for Mollie as she moves on to a new school in the fall. I'm just hoping we get the teacher we have chosen for her!

Riley is also in summer mode, what with all the sports and dress up gear he got during last month's new release he is set for all kinds of activities and my card today is showing just a few of them.

I stamped some of the accessories from both the Summer fun and the sports sets onto white card and colored these with alcohol markers. I then stamped Riley and the shorts (again from the Sports collection) colored these and used the coordinating dies to cut them out.
I matted my card in yellow and added the accessories layer. Using the same yellow card I typed School's out for summer and die cut this using Riley and Company's Squares word bubble dies
Riley was dressed in the shorts to preserve his dignity! Him and the word bubble were adhered to my card using foam squares.

Lemons

Good afternoon, boy is it hot here, we have had 2 days of nothing but storms the humidity is ridiculously high so I've been hibernating in the house with the cooling.

It's Tuesday so that means I'm showcasing Riley and Company's great stamps.

Today I have decided if life gives you lemons (I've had a lot just lately) grab a friend with vodka!

A great sentiment just entitled Lemons! I stamped it with Memento ink so I could color the lemons with alcohol markers. Tucker the Dog was stamped in the corner and again colored him with markers. I die cut the green vines and added lemons cut using my cameo and colored with markers.
A simple yellow mat on a white card base just finishes the card.

Best Friend

Good afternoon. It's a gorgeous warm day here, doors are open and my fur babies are basking in the sun. I keep getting a smell of the lovely lilac bush at the end of our deck.

Summer is definitely around the corner so I'm sharing on of the last of my Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps Spring cards with you

Isn't that Bucket of Tulips just the sweetest.
I have colored them with my alcohol markers I followed the color scheme of some that I have in the yard they are just about done for this year but I love the delicate cream and pale pink. I used a sentiment from the Spring Scalloped Circles clear stamp set that I felt fit the card.
I matted the image onto cream card and placed this on a pre-printed card base. I added some die cut butterflies just to balance the design.
