Easter Rose pre-release showcase

Hello!!! I have some exciting new, The design team at Lil Patch of Crafty Friends have been chosen to showcase a new release by Kith and Kin before it is released.

The image is called Easter Rose and I have loved having the chance to color her and her little pal

I have used my Spectrum Noir pens and added texture to the rabbit and Rose's hair with Polychromo pencils. The backing papers I have chosen are from a free download on the Docraft's website. These have been matted onto blue card from my stash. I have also used the same card with some yellow to die cut the flowers. Some baby blue liquid pearls in the center of the flowers and bottom right corner just finish off the design.

Thank you to Kith and Kin for allowing us to use their gorgeous image. Just so you are aware they are sponsoring our next challenge over at Lil Patch of Friends which goes live on 5th April. I hope you'll pop back and join us for it!

Pretty poetry

Good Morning from a cold Michigan - yes I put all the winter boots away last week and the cold has returned!!!
Oh well the heating will just have to stay on for a bit longer..........

Today is the start of Challenge 41 over at Scribble and Scrap. As always it is anything goes and so easy to enter. Just stop by and read the rules here before you link your makes.

I have decided to take a break from stamping and coloring and use a Joanna Sheen cd that has been hiding in my cupboard for a while.

The image and verse is from her Patience Strong Volume 1 (which is unfortunately no longer available on her website.) as it's supposed to be spring I thought I would find a pretty spring image!

It's a very simple card to make. The ribbon was plain white but so it matched into the design I colored this with my Spectrum Noir pens, placed a piece around the bottom of some lilac Core'dinations card and added the handmade bow. I matted this onto a cream A5 card blank and added the image - nothing else was required as I didn't want to distract from the beautiful words.

Dragonflies Peonies and 10% discount!!!

Good morning!! The snow has finally gone!!!! Ok we still have a piles where it has been plowed but the yard is now clear much to Gizzie's delight - he's back to exploring!

As it's starting to brighten up I thought I'd do a nice brightly colored card for a change.

The So Suzy Stamp challenge closes in a few days so here's a reminder to get your entries in!
The theme water-coloring continues. There are so many ways you can use this theme so an easy challenge to enter! Just pop by the blog for details.

All you need is a So Suzy stamp which you can get a 10% discount off by using the Code SHARON10 - if you have the 20% for life for the store this code will also stack giving you a whopping 30% off!!!

My make today is using the fab new dragonfly stamp and one of my all-time favorites - Peony

I started by coloring 2 sheets of water color card with pearlescent water color paint. one I did in muted pinks and peaches, the other in blues, greens and an aqua color. Once dry I used a versamark watermark pad to stamp peonies over the pinky color. I then sprinkled these with purple glow Wow embossing glitter and heat set them. Putting this to one side I stamped the dragon flies onto the aqua card with the same ink pad and used Blue glitz Wow embossing glitter on them. Once set I matted the pinky card onto some bright blue card stock and a deckled edged card blank. I then fussy cut the dragonflies (completely forgetting that So Suzy Stamps now does SVG files for this reason!!). Using a spellbinder tag die I cut the blue tag from the same card I used to mat the background and the inner circle from the Pinky water colored card. This was stamped with Suzy's Small Merci Stamp then embossed using the blue glitz again. The tag was fastened to the center of the card and the dragonflies on either side. I only glued the center body part of them down to make them look as though they are flying.

So pop by get your stamps using my discount code SHARON10 and get entering the challenge!!!

Challenge 40 is live!!!

Good morning everyone - Most of our snow has now gone and we are well on the way to Spring!
It's been a long time coming and we can't wait to pack away the winter clothes

Today is the start of the 40th Scribble and Scrap challenge - The store, if you didn't know is now closed but the challenge lives on. As always it is anything goes so any crafty makes are welcome to take part. These have to be physical items not digital crafts! The rules can be found here.

The challenge is open for 2 weeks and a random winner will be picked to receive some fab goodies!

As the store is now closed I get to do anything goes too so here's my design team make

I have used a shaped card blank from Craftwork Cards. So that my backing paper fits this I have traced around the edge and cut my paper to fit. The papers are from a Lili of the Valley paper pad which I have matted onto aqua and peach card. I have then used this adorable Lili of the Valley topper from their art pads. I have added pearls by using liquid pearls in bisque to the topper just to complete the CAS effect

I am entering this card into the following challenges
Wags and Whiskers - Ready for Spring

Thanks for stopping by I would love if you can leave some love in the comments
xx

So Suzy Stamp's cute little snow girls

Good afternoon from a sunny (YES SUNNY and above freezing) Michigan!
The weather took a turn for the better at the weekend, the snow is finally receding and spring is finally on it's way!!

I have some news to share - So Suzy is having a Design Team call - so if you want to join a happy bunch of crafters - who are just a little bit crazy then you can apply here

We are also almost half way through this month's challenge, the theme is water-color and as long as you follow the theme and use a So Suzy Stamp you can enter any project. The rules can be found here

And there is more to share with you - for the whole of the month if you make a purchase using the code SHARON10 you get 10% off your whole order, what's more if you bought during the birthday offer and got 20% off for life you will get 30% off using my code - how great is that!!!

There are some great new releases over at the So Suzy Store this month, which are also included in the above offer!

Onto today's make - I have show cased one of the March release stamps

This is Waving Snow Girl I have stamped her onto watercolour card and colored her using my Derwent water color pencils. The card was cut on my cameo using a cutting file from A Winter Walk in the country side cd and matted with some snowflake paper. I have then used some silver thread, a gem and metal corner from my stash.
Just a sweet little card which seemed appropriate given the amount of snow we have had in my part of the world recently!

Before I leave you I just want to remind you that So Suzy Stamps can be found on Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest and Twitter. We also have a facebook group where you can enter the challenge if you don't have a blog.

Don't forget about the Design team call!!!

The So Suzy Stamp March Release

Good Morning, It's that exciting time again - the new stamp releases from So Suzy Stamps!!! There are some gorgeous stamps hitting the store today so why not pop over and have a look!!!
Also the March Challenge has just started. This month's theme is watercolor which is a bit out of my comfort zone after all my wonderful hubby is the painter in our home!!
The challenge as always is easy to enter, you can either enter on the blog or in So Suzy's showcase Facebook group! You don't have to have a blog you just need to know how to post photos on FB! The rules are unchanged, you need to follow our theme and use a So Suzy Stamp!
Here is my make for the start of the challenge using some of the new releases

Ok so you say where's the water coloring - I have used distress inks with water for the background and whilst still wet I have spritzed it with grape jelly Fireworks. The image is called Moon Fairy and the sentiment Star Dust Dancing which is one stamp which I have separated to fit around the fairy. I matted purple card onto a white card blank and, once dry, I stamped the images onto the water colored card and added this to the card. The die cuts on the corners have been cut from the same purple card using a Cheery Lynn Die

Before I go, did you know that So Suzy Stamps can be found on Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest and Twitter. She also has a showcase Facebook Group - So Suzy Stamps Flaunt it if you made it - where you can show your own designs (and enter our challenge) made with these fab stamps.
