Dream a Little Dream.....

Good afternoon - I am on vacation at a water park at the moment so this post is going live whilst I am in a pool with friends

Craftin Desert Divas digital stamps are adorable and the one I have used today is one of the cutest

I will whisper the rest of this post because some one is Sleeping on the Moon:

Do you agree how cute she is??? I couldn't resist having her as one of my first design team images

I colored her using alcohol markers

The chose the yellow of the moon as my card for my matting and layering. The start design team paper is a digital one and I recolored it from green to blue using my graphics program.
I typed the sentiment, which is a line from a song, and then die cut this and some yellow card this was then tucked under my image before it was adhered to my mat and layered card base.
A few yellow enamel dots among the stars just balance the card

Un-Frog-getable Day

Good Morning It's new release day at Scraper's Delights and it's going to be an un-frog-getable one!!

Yes there are some gorgeous frogs available in the Scrapper's Delights store from today and I have been coloring up 2 of these little darlings

Moonlight Serenade Girl & You've Stolen My Heart:

Aren't they adorable and they also have other friends which my teamies will be showcasing over on the Scrapper's Delights blog and Facebook group.

I colored You've Stolen My Heart first using my alcohol markers. I had to make him look dapper in that top hat:

I then matted him and some digital design paper onto bright Green card. I then used a stamp set for the sentiment and circle die-cut again matting these onto green card. once all the elements were completed I then arranged them onto my card base.

He looks as though he's ready to propose to someone and who knows it might be this cutie - Moonlight Serenade Girl:

Again I colored her using alcohol markers. I used a corner punch to round the corners before matting the image onto pink card. I then did the same with some leafy design paper.
The sentiment is from the same stamp set as I used above. Corners were rounded on this and again it was matted onto white card.
I then assembled my design onto a pre-made scalloped card base. I thought the die-cuts just enhanced the image and I even cut one of the music notes up so I could add the single notes to the image.

Ingredients used
Personal Impressions Stamp set - retired

Head on over to the Scrapper's Delights Store and meet all the friends of these adorable frogs.

My teamies and I have been coloring her up this week and there are some great designs being spotlighted over on the Markers Facebook page today.

Here is what I have done with her

I pulled together a beach background using my graphics program. I then matted this onto my card base using a dark aqua card as contrast.
I then colored my image using alcohol markers I added clear sparkle overlay to her scales and the pearl which you can see on this close up

Once she was colored I fussy cut her and laid her on the scene I had made. I then colored and added a die cut border that complemented the design.

Ingredients used:
Aqua Card - from my stash
Shell diecuts - from my stash

One Cup Is Not Enough!!!

Good Afternoon, More news from me today I'm now a member of the Craftin Desert Diva's Digital Stamp design team and today I'm showcasing my first design for them.

Do you know the feeling where you need extra caffeine just to get you through a normal day - I've had many of those and I don't drink coffee so tea has to do for me!

Well my make today is really feeling it - meet Coffee Mouse

This adorable little mouse will be a bit manic once he downs that huge cup of coffee. However in my design he's had a bit of a rough night:

Just look at the bags around his bloodshot eyes!!!!
I colored him using alcohol markers and matted him on to brown card. I then used some design paper from my stash, again matting it with brown card.
The sentiment has been typed up on my pc and matted to match the other elements.
I then added all my design pieces to my card base and realized it needed something more. The coffee beans and grinder die cuts just finished off the design without taking away from the detail of the image!

Ingredients used:

Craftin Desert Divas have a Coffee Digi challenge running this month and this little guy would be a great image if you want to enter.
They have a wide range of digital stamps and very reasonable prices so why not pop by the store and check them out.

Dandelion wishes

Good afternoon - it was the first day of summer yesterday and yes summer has finally arrived in Michigan. We have had gorgeous hot sunny days and spent lots of time out in the yard.
I am showcasing Dandelion Fae from Faery Ink today and I just loved coloring her up.

If you follow my blog you will know I am a huge fan of soft, pink and girly so took the opportunity to be just that in my design after all dandelion clocks are soft and delicate.
Dandelion Fae
I colored her with alcohol markers, adding sparkle to the dandelion clock.

She was then fussy cut so I could add her to the blowing seeds design paper.
I added sparkle to the dandelion clock I matted the design paper with blue card to make it pop against the white card base. The stamped sentiment just fits too - who as a child used these clocks to make a wish? I know i did and my daughter does now!
Ingredients used:
Dandelion Design paper- from my stash

I hope that this has given you some ideas of what you can do with this beauty. She is available for purchase over at Faery Ink along with lots of other gorgeous digital stamps

Mushroom Fairy has some news!!!!

Hello - Today I'm excited to announce that I am joining the Spotlight Team over at Scrap N' Dipity and today is my first posting on their blog!

They have some adorable digital stamps in their store which cover a wide range of themes. Of course I had to pick a fairy for my first make and I loved the cute face on The Mushroom Fairy:

Isn't she sweet!!!

I  couldn't wait to color her up!

I have always been an avid Spectrum Noir marker user but recently I have been having problems with the pens coming apart so as I do so much coloring these days I decided now would be the time to invest in Copics. My wonderful hubby purchased me a collection of 72 for our anniversary and I have been buying the odd singles each week to bolster my collection. I have to say after using them properly for the first time on this little fairy I love them! I still needed to use some Spectrum Noirs to increase my color range.
Once I colored the image I matted Little Miss Mushroom onto green card. I used the same card for the butterfly tuck in die and used the waste from this to add the butterflies around the image.
I chose some design paper from my stash that coordinated with my coloring and again matted this with green card.
I added the mats to my card blank placing the die cut under the image and the butterflies around it.

Oh how Tweet!!!!

Good afternoon from a hot Michigan. School is out for the summer and my days are taken up entertaining our 2 kids - well stopping them from fighting!!!!!

It's the one day fae giveaway over at Faery Ink and WOW is it a cutie this time

Meet Fable and Tweets

Isn't she adorable and little Tweets is just so snuggly looking

I have chosen to use colors I don't usually go for in my card design

The photo doesn't really show how bright the colors are it is a very summery design!
I used alcohol markers to color her and added detail to her hair with a fine liner.
I chose some design papers from my stash and die cut 2 of these and my image using a stitched die. The third paper was matted with green card and adhered to my 7x5in card base, adding the bright yellow ribbon in between the layers.
I then stacked my die-cut design papers and image on to my card.
I added a bow in the same ribbon and some coordinating enamel dots just to balance the design.

Ingredients used:
Fable and Tweets Faery Ink Digital Stamp
Ribbon from my stash
Design Papers from my stash

I hope that this has given you some ideas of what you can do with this adorable couple. They are available for free on the Faery Ink website for 24 hours only. If you miss them they will be available to purchase in the store after this time

Pretty Peonies

Good afternoon. It's a gorgeous sunny day here, school has finished today for the summer and we are hoping the weather continues through out!

I am blogging a card I have made for a GDT call at Inspired by Stamping today - the info included a picture to use as inspiration:

From this I chose the color scheme and some of the patterns from the cushions.

My main design detail - the peony stamps were inspired by some of the pillow patterns:

I decided to use different techniques than my usual stamping and coloring and pushed myself to use water colors to give the flowers a more delicate look.
I embossed the image and a sentiment with Versamark ink pad onto water-color card. Using a mask I made by stamping onto a post-it note, I covered the main flower in order to stamp the leaves behind it. These were heat embossed using gold embossing powder.
Once I had colored the image and allowed to dry I added polka-dot ribbon to the corner (a pattern from one of the cushions in the image above) and then it was then matted it onto pink card.
I chose some gold embossed card for my backing however this was a cream color so to keep within the theme I color tinted it with distress ink, this resisted the gold pattern on the card allowing it to show through the pink ink. I then added a pink mat to my base card before adhering the patterned card and my matted image.

Ingredients used:
Pink polka-dot ribbon from my stash
gold embossed card - from my stash
