Too cute to be extinct

Good afternoon! We are having a lazy Sunday afternoon, BBQ and sunshine with friends from near and far!
I'm sharing another showcase image from Craftin Desert Divas today, as my T-Rex was so cute I couldn't resist coloring up a friend of his - Meet Dino - Triceratops and his cute coconut tree

How cute is he????

I decided to have him walking past his tree in a scene

I colored the image with my alcohol markers then I die cut some clouds and used these as stencils to color the skt, it looks very faint on the photo but the sky has got clouds floating around. I matted my base card with a leafy design paper then brown card before adding my image. It is a simple card but I did spend most of my time coloring the image to get his skin to look like it was thick and leathery.

Ingredients used:
Leafy patterned design paper - from my Stash

Thank you for stopping by to see my little pal, he and his friends can be found at the Craftin Desert Divas digital Stamp Store
They have a wide range of digital stamps and very reasonable prices so why not pop by the store and check them out.

Just keep swimming.....

Good morning, it's still hot here in Michigan be we are enjoying the sunshine!

It's the last Saturday of the month which means another new release from Scrapper's Delights and it is so fitting for us this month as we have finally got our marine reef tank set up with fish and other creatures.
So the release this month is mermaids BUT we also have Sea Rock 2 which when paired with the fish that were released earlier this month make a fantastic scene

I decided to make my own fish tank. I add 2 of the cute happy fish to the rock to make a scene then printed and colored the image with my alcohol markers. making the fish look like Dory to appease Mollie.

Once colored I added some real shells to the tank bottom.

I then cut a frame from black card ensuring the aperture was the right size to show all of my image I than added acetate for the front of my "tank". 4 strips of the same card were then concertinaed and adhered to the frame and then fixed to edges of the image to make it stand proud and form the tank. A few more shells were added to the frame just for decoration.

There are more images being release this weekend and you can find examples of what you can do with all of them on my teamies blogs the addresses for these can be found on the new release post over at Scrapper's Delights.

Barney is a dinosaur...........

Good afternoon following the morning storms we have had gorgeous sunshine

I'm showcasing one of Craftin Desert Diva's recently released digital stamps today, meet Dino the Tyrannosaurus Rex

Isn't he just the cutest Dino?????

He comes with his own volcano but I couldn't resist coloring like a famous T-Rex. Who remembers Barney the Purple Dinosaur and his adorable song?????

Well here he is!!!! I colored him with my alcohol Markers and matted my image with purple card. I then chose a coordinating design paper and again matted this with the same purple card. I typed up the lyrics from the song using my PC and again matted this with the purple card.
All were added to my card base and a few purple enamel dots just finished the card

Ingredients used:
Design paper from my stash

Best Fishes

Good Morning from a very hot Michigan!
It's Mollie's 7th Birthday today - wow time is flying by way too quickly but more on that later!

Scrapper's Delights are releasing acute new set of images and being part of the new release design team we were challenged to all make a card with the same image:
Fish bowl

It's a scene building set of digital stamps so you can add what ever elements you wish.

I have used the bowl, one fish and the plant:

I colored the image with alcohol markers, then inked the edges before matting onto blue card. I then chose some fishy digital design paper and matted this onto the same blue card before adhering this to my card base
I used a die to make seaweed which was then placed over the design paper at various lengths before adding my image.
The sentiment was typed on my PC and again I inked this and used pop dots to adhere to the card.

'Bubbles' were added as were enamel dots in the bottom corners just to balance the card

Serenely waiting......

Good morning it's been a busy few weeks for me but I'm now back to regular blogging and today is no exception

I am spotlighting over at Scrap N' Dipity today showcasing a gorgeous new digital stamp that Alisha has designed
Meet Preg -Nancy:

She will be available in the Scrap N' Dipity store this week but I couldn't wait to color her up

She looks really serene sitting with her hand on her pregnant tummy cradling the baby that is in there.

I colored her up using alcohol markers and of course she had to be in pink! I wanted to keep the card very simple as the image is very powerful so I just added a simple stamped sentiment/ I matted my card base with both pale yellow and pink card before adding my image
A few yellow enamel dots just add a finishing touch to the design.

Ingredients used

Thank you for stopping by - for more inspiration please check out the Scrap N' Dipity Facebook fan group
We also have a challenge blog where you can win some of the gorgeous digi-stamps

Happy 4th July!!!!

Ok so I'm a day late but lets face it who was around yesterday - most people were out enjoying the festivities of the holiday.

Today is my inspiration day for Faery Ink and being Brit in the US I thought is only fitting I used the American version of the new digital image.

She is comes with different country flags on her tee or you can just color the plain one as above!

Here is my version

For the first time I used only copics to color with instead of a mixture of them and Spectrum Noirs - I have to say I am now a convert - they lay the ink down much easier and blend so well.

Once colored I fussy cut her out. I then typed part of the American National Anthem onto a picture of a scroll edged this with marker and fussy cut.
I matted my card base with dark blue card and then the stars and stripes paper. I arranged Destiny and the scroll onto my card and then colored white card candy in patriotic colors adhering them to the top left hand corner.

Ingredients used:
Design paper - from my stash

I hope that this has given you some ideas of what you can do with this beauty. She is available for purchase over at Faery Ink along with lots of other gorgeous digital stamps
Thank you for taking time to stop and read my post we love having visitors especially if our posts give you inspiration.
