Love Endures Fall Leaves

Good morning, fall has finally arrived this week I'm thankful for the cooler temperatures but don't like all the rain that has come with it.

My card today is using the Love Endures Clear Stamp Set, this has a set of leaves that are great colored with the gorgeous colors fall brings.

I started my design by stamping the 3 different leaves multiple times. I then colored them with alcohol markers and fussy cut them, finally I shaped them with a ball stylus. I matted my card base with a deep red cardstock. I stamped a piece of patterned paper with Give Thanks, both are sentiments included in the Love Endures set. I adhered this to my card base and arranged my leaves so the look as though they are blowing across my card. I then added some enamel dots from the Fuzzy Peach Clear Enamel Dots.

I love these leaves and know they will appear on lots of my fall cards this year.

You can check out the new release and all of Joy Clair's products over in their store.

Thank you for stopping by. I will be back during the month with more inspiration from Joy Clair. Also my teamies will be sharing with you over on the Joy Clair Facebook Group.

Smile

Good morning, hope everyone is keeping safe and well. It looks as though spring may be back. After the snow last week and the stay at home order it definitely felt like groundhog day!

Well today is Tuesday and that means one thing Digi Choosday! yes it's the start of a new challenge over on the Digi Choosday blog and the designer are making you smile in their inspiration this time.

We were tasked with making a card with the theme you make me smile and only using 2 colors. I have chosen to use various shades of pink and brown and have used a number of Polkadoodle's digital products for my card including this cute little Silly Monkey:

What I Did:
I started by resizing and printing Silly Monkey on to stamping card. I then colored her with Alcohol Markers, keeping my colors within my theme. I then fussy cut her and put to one side while I arranged the rest of my card. I chose some digital design paper's from the Helga collection and resized and printed these. I chose to use a brown card to mat my 7x5in card base and added the first layer of design paper onto this. I then matted 2 other pieces of design paper with the card stock. The first of these I adhered to the bottom right of my card. The second one I looped Silly Monkey's tail around the back of and added her to the front with foam squares (giving the impression she was hanging from the card.) I then added this to the top left of the card. Finally I chose a sentiment from Winnie's Special Moments quotes that fit perfectly with the theme. I printed this onto stamping card and inked it with pink distress ink so it coordinated with the rest of the card. It was matted on to brown card and added to the card to finish the design.

What I Used:
Digital Stamp: Polkadoodles: Silly Monkey
Digital Design Papers: Polkadoodles: Helga Big Kahuna VIP Download Bundle
Digital Sentiment: Polkadoodles: Winnie's Special Moments Quotes
Stamping Card: X-Press It
Alcohol Markers: Copic
Base Card: Core'Dinations Premium Heavyweight
Brown Card: Core'Dinations
Distress Ink: Tim Holtz
Glue: ZipDry
Foam Squares: from my stash

Foxy Birthday

Good afternoon from a very sunny Michigan. Yes we have had a turn about in the weather and it is gorgeous out. Most of the snow (that hasn't been piled high) has melted and it's a pleasure to be outside.

SumMore Fun are having a new release this week - all will be revealed on Friday but for now I have a sneak peek at a couple of the stamps:

Isn't this little fox the cutest and I made a CAS card to showcase how adorable he is. I stamped him with memento ink and colored him with alcohol markers.
The sentiment is also from the same stamp set there are a number of sentiments, I always find it useful to have matching sayings makes the putting together a design so simple.

Mt teamies will be showcasing other stamps from this set over the week on the SumMore Fun Blog  and the on Friday will be the full reveal so keep watch!

Thanks for stopping by and as always if you are looking for more inspiration check out my teamies creations on the BlogFaceBookInstagram and Pinterest.

One for the boys

Good Morning, colder weather hit us again over the weekend - just when we had planted out some baby plants!
Today I have taken over the SumMore Fun Blog with a card for the boys. I killed 2 birds with one stone with this one, it was James's birthday on the 7th so my card was used for him.
I have used 2 stamp sets on this card the first being Welcome To The Cabin:

The set is all about hunting and fishing so I chose some of the wording and added fishes and fishing rod (from the same stamp set) onto a piece of white card I had lightly inked with green and brown ink. This was then added to my card base which had first been matted with dark green card.

Putting this to one side I then used my second stamp which is Chicken Wire This is a large stamp that is just what the item says it is chicken wire, here is a close up:

I stamped this onto acetate and using foam tape I placed this over my first stamping. My original idea was to make this a shaker card using some of the stamped fish from the first stamp set I used but they wouldn't lay right and 'shake' under the acetate. So instead I die cut a frame using some real tree design paper and added this over my images.

As this was for my son I die cut the letters and added son to the side of the card.

Don't forget our new moodboard challenge started last Friday to join in and get the chance to win a gift certificate to SumMore Fun head on over to the SumMore Fun challenge post.  Oh and the prize doubles if you use stamps from from the store!

Vintage Bicycle

Good morning well after an icy weekend things are starting to warm up again not quite cycling weather but hey I thought I'd share a little vintage biking with you today with stamps from SumMore Fun:

I started by inking a white piece of card to make it look older. Using the same color ink I used the text stamp and stamped this 4 times covering my card. I then used Kraft card and again with same ink I stamped the Penny Farthing and fussy cut it out.

My card was assembled using dark brown card to mat my base. I then added my inked card.
I used foam squares to adhere my penny farthing raising it from the card:

I added some coordinating nuvo drops. Finally I die cut some words from the dark brown card - I thought they were appropriate because wow! would you ride a bike with a seat like that!!!

Thanks

Good morning! I'm here today with a little card of thanks.

Who doesn't like getting a card in the post, I know it really makes my day when someone has appreciated what I have done for them and lets me know with a little note!

Today's card is just a simple thanks:

Little James the Bear from Lili of the Valley is gazing out of his window looking at his gorgeous sunflower.
This is a really simple card, I colored the image with alcohol markers and colored pencils. I extended the brick work using a black fine liner so that the image fit my card base.
I matted a white card base with dark brown card and added my image. I die cut 'thanks' from the same brown card and adhered this in place.

If you like what you see please let me know in the comments

Kick up your heels

Good Morning!
Well was Santa good to all of you? I hope you had a blessed day and enjoyed time spent with loved ones.

My card today gives you a little insight into my personality:

Despite growing up in a city I am a country girl at heart, give me boots and jeans and I'm happy.

The stamps I have used today are from 2 Raisin Boat sets sold by SumMore Fun first one is Urban Cowgirl I have used the lasso, horseshoe and Urban Cowgirl sentiment from this set. Both stamped in a dark brown ink. I then Stamped the rest of my wording using the Goes with Mountain Country Gal set along with the boots which I colored with Copic Markers.
I used a white card base, matted with black card, I inked the edges of my topper with distress ink to tie in with the colors of my stamped images.

A few enamel dots completed my design.

So kicking up your heels fits in with the theme of the current moodboard challenge over at SumMore Fun - who likes to party on New Year's Eve?

This shows that your card for the challenge doesn't need to be all sparkly just use the colors included in the mood board! There is still plenty of time to get your entries in

Too cute to be extinct

Good afternoon! We are having a lazy Sunday afternoon, BBQ and sunshine with friends from near and far!
I'm sharing another showcase image from Craftin Desert Divas today, as my T-Rex was so cute I couldn't resist coloring up a friend of his - Meet Dino - Triceratops and his cute coconut tree

How cute is he????

I decided to have him walking past his tree in a scene

I colored the image with my alcohol markers then I die cut some clouds and used these as stencils to color the skt, it looks very faint on the photo but the sky has got clouds floating around. I matted my base card with a leafy design paper then brown card before adding my image. It is a simple card but I did spend most of my time coloring the image to get his skin to look like it was thick and leathery.

Ingredients used:
Leafy patterned design paper - from my Stash

Thank you for stopping by to see my little pal, he and his friends can be found at the Craftin Desert Divas digital Stamp Store
They have a wide range of digital stamps and very reasonable prices so why not pop by the store and check them out.
