High Tea Sneak Peek and Giveaway!

Good morning, we are still bathed in sunshine but the humidity has been unbearable so I am spending most of the time indoors!

I'm here today with a sneak peek of a collection that is to be released on 19th July and it is perfect for me!
I am a tea lover and this chintzy very English set could have come across the Atlantic with us!

There are lots of components to the kit but today I just used the papers and stamp set.

I positioned the teapot and roses on my Tim Holtz stamp platform (which incidentally is on offer over at SumMore Fun) and inked them with memento ink. This image was then colored with Copic markers and fussy cut.
I then used 2 of the papers to mat and layer my 6x6 inch card base. The image on the bottom right corner is printed on the papers!!! A third paper was then cut into a border and added across the center of my card.
Using Versamark ink I inked the sentiment and then white embossed it. A white doily was then added to keep with the paper theme.
I added an action wobbler to my teapot and adhered this to the center of the doily. I have used this technique in a previous card - it allows the teapot to tip:

As well as a sneak peek I have a full kit of the High Tea to giveaway to one person who comments on this blog post.
The giveaway will be open until Saturday 20th July so if you like what you see please leave me a comment, you never know you could be the winner!

Thanks for stopping by, my teamies will be sharing their sneak peeks this week and the full kit will be revealed on the 19th July!

Foxy Birthday

Good afternoon from a very sunny Michigan. Yes we have had a turn about in the weather and it is gorgeous out. Most of the snow (that hasn't been piled high) has melted and it's a pleasure to be outside.

SumMore Fun are having a new release this week - all will be revealed on Friday but for now I have a sneak peek at a couple of the stamps:

Isn't this little fox the cutest and I made a CAS card to showcase how adorable he is. I stamped him with memento ink and colored him with alcohol markers.
The sentiment is also from the same stamp set there are a number of sentiments, I always find it useful to have matching sayings makes the putting together a design so simple.

Mt teamies will be showcasing other stamps from this set over the week on the SumMore Fun Blog  and the on Friday will be the full reveal so keep watch!

Wishes

Hello! I'm slowly getting back to blogging and have decided it was time for a name change. I have had this name in my head for a while now so decided to let it free and use it!

Today's card is using some gorgeous stamps from SumMore Fun, unfortunately the company is for sale but this means they are having some fantastic sales so check out their Facebook page for super deals.

I have used 2 stamp sets on this card, the first Growing Love is has some pretty and quirky flowers as well as some accents that you can use on the flowers or along side of them. I chose one of the main flowers which looks like a dandelion, I stamped it in a light grey color. I think used a stippled effect stamp from same stamp to look like the floating seeds.
The sentiment I stamped in green is from Flourishing Thoughts stamp set. it has a large selection of sentiments that can be used for any type of card.
I matted a 4.25 x 5.5inch card base with green card in a shade similar to my sentiment ink and then added my stamped topper.
I added some iridescent white gems among the 'seeds' for added interest.

Free Snowman!

Good morning, has everyone recovered after the holidays? We are almost back to normal just got the decorations to get put away and I will be happy! We have snow but hey it's winter what do you expect.

Today's card is showcasing SumMore Fun's Watercolor Snowman stamp set and it is a cute one!!

He comes unassembled so I decided to stamp him the same way.

I stamped his head and body on black card in an opaque ink and added his face by coloring the stamp with markers.

I then stamped his arms, hat and scarf on separate pieces of white card.

I matted these onto the same card stock used for my card base. I then added the Free Snowman sentiment to the arm stamps.

I decided to make my card into an impossible card and details of how I made this can be found on I Heart Maggie's Blog

I thought this was a great way to display all the snowman parts - You have to go hunting around the card for them!

Winter Wonderland

Happy Saturday! I don't know about you but I am struggling to work out what day it is - having Kev and Mollie at home makes every day the same

I'm here today to showcase a SumMore Fun winter stamp set, I have used Winter Heart and Sole on my card which is currently discounted:

Do you get the play on words? Sole - yes the stamp set has skates and snow shoes! I chose to color the skates with my alcohol markers. I added the sentiment and randomly stamped the snowflakes (also in the stamp set!) in weathered wood distress ink.
I matted my scalloped card base with some blue card that complemented to inking and coloring. then added my topper.
I then used a Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen on each snowflake to make them glisten which is difficult to pick up with the camera.

Thinking of You at Christmas

Good morning from a snowy Michigan. We had a heavy snow fall on Sunday night and a few flurries since so it seems to be hanging around!

It's the start of our December Challenge over at SumMore Fun and this month's theme is of course Christmas crafting. You enter by leaving your photo on our SumMore Fun Creations Facebook page in the December challenge album. Don't forget you can use any SumMore Fun stamps to enter and if you subscribe to the newsletter you can get free digital stamps and use these to enter!

On to my make - I love the Swirl Christmas Tree so I decided to use this to make my own design paper: I stamped it multiple times in different angles with green ink

I then used the same green ink on the Thinking of You at Christmas sentiment. I matted my 4.25inx5.5in card base with some festive green mirror card and added my design paper. My sentiment was matted with the same card and I used some green foam sheet to add this to my card giving it dimension. To finish added some pearl pen in Emerald which has a great shine to tie in with the mirror card.

Fall Thanks

Good morning, fall is in the air and the trees are starting to change color. This is my favorite time of the year I love the colors, the cooler weather and of course the pumpkin spice!

The SumMore Fun mood board challenge has all the colors of fall this time round, check out the mood board lower down my post.

For my card I have used the colors for my background. For the first time I have experimented with distress oxide inks and I think I like them!

I used Fossilized Amber, vintage phot and peeled paint and blended them across my card. Before I left it to dry I spritzed it with water.
Once dry I used the SumMore Fun Growing Love stamp set to stamp the branches in a random pattern across my card. I then die cut THANKS twice, gluing these on top of each other to give me dimension. I then stamped 'for helping me grow' from the same stamp set onto black card using embossing ink. This was then embossed with white glimmer powder. I matted my card base with deep red cardstock and added my design.
I glazed my thanks die cut with magic transparent Pearl Pen and added black pearls randomly around my card.

So want to join our challenge and get the chance to win a $20 gift certificate to SumMore Fun?

Floral Birthday

Good Morning, now that all the storms have passed the temperature is much cooler!

I have been working on large cards this week and today's card is an 8x8 inch birthday card:

I used SumMore Fun's Growing Love Stamp Set to first stamp pale pink flowers and dots onto a white piece of card. I then matted this with some pink card stock onto a scalloped card base.
I then stamped one of the larger flowers twice onto post-it note paper and cut this out to use as a mask. I then stamped 2 of the same flowers and masked these with the post-it notes. I stamped a further 2 flowers in each arrangement. I then colored these with alcohol markers and used a grey pencil for shadows. This gives the flowers depth so they look as though they are stacked rather than stamped on flat cardstock.
I then arranged these with some die cut leaves in the corners of my card. I added the happy birthday die cut and some pink crystal gems scattered around the card.

Have you checked out the latest SumMoreFun Mood board challenge? You could win a $20 gift certificate for the store.
