Wind Swept

Good morning wow the weekend flew by this week - I can't believe it is already Monday

As it is Monday that means a new release from My Whimsical Little World. I adore this week's image and decided I would take myself out of my comfort zone and experiment with color.

Meet Windswept. I have colored her with my Spectrum Noirs, the first time I have attempted a colored hair! I added texture it with a fine tip pen. I then typed up the sentiment on my pc and printed it into the image. This is actually a line from a song in the Pocahontas movie.
I matted the image onto purple card before adding it to a white card blank.
I colored clear gems with my pens so they matched perfectly.

You can find the image over at My Whimsical Little World's Etsy store and why not check out our Facebook group and see what my teamies have done with the image too!

Thank You!

Good morning - it's another beautiful day here in Michigan.

I'm showcasing over at So Suzy Stamps today, I was asked to make some thank you cards with a masculine theme for one of my husband's friends. Suggested colors were black white or silver so I thought I would use all three!

I used So Suzy's  Line Leaf one which I stamped with embossing medium and then used Wow embossing powder. I then used her Thank you stamp and black ink. I made 10 of these cards so my MISTI was a great help with placing the stamps and making sure all the cards were identical.
Once dry I matted the images onto black card and silver pearl card before placing on white card blank.

Thanks for stopping by and before you leave check out the challenge at So Suzy's blog and enter our challenge. If you don't have a blog - don't worry you can enter over at our Facebook group

Good afternoon! it's is the start of the harvest festival celebrations here in town today so we are going to watch the parade this evening!

As it's also Thursday it is also my day to showcase a Jiggery Makery image!

Meet Grace

Hasn't she just got fabulous legs!!!
I have colored her with my Spectrum Noir markers, adding texture to her hat with a fine liner.

I found the sentiment online and printed it out via my pc. I few red pearls and some red card to mat her on adds the perfect finishing touches.

You can buy the image over at Jiggery Makery's Etsy store along with her other pin-up pals.

Ant's a girl!

Hello and welcome fall!!! I love this time of year here, it's still warm enough to enjoy being outside and the colors of the trees, when they change, are absolutely gorgeous!

As it's Thursday it's New release day over at Julie Spiri's Etsy store. Since we still have lots of sunshine, I'm actually still in summer mode so here's a summery card well the ants are all over in summer!!!!!

Meet Little Ant - she isn't like the tiny creepy crawlies at all in fact she is so sweet!!! I just love the little flowers on her eyelashes!

I have colored her with Spectrum Noir Markers and focused her gaze on a little ant who is directing his trail of workers around the card!!! These are from a set of Lawn Fawn stamps. The sentiment, is from the same collection and has been stamped in green ink.

I matted the image into green card and a white card blank as is my signature style I have kept the card CAS

Julia's images can be found in her Etsy Store but you also have a chance to win them over at her challenge blog.

All wrapped up for Christmas

Good Morning, it's a beautiful day here today, lovely and warm with a nice breeze.
Hard to believe that it's the end of summer which can only mean winter is on it's way bringing Christmas with it!!!

So for my showcase over at Jiggery Makery this week I have used Cassie who is all wrapped up for Christmas

Just like all of the images in the Jiggery Makery Store she is another stunner!
I have colored her with my Spectrum Noir markers and printed the sentiment at the side of her using my pc.

The design paper is from my stash and I have used red card for the matting and memory box die cut.

Why not pop over to the Jiggery Makery Etsy store where Cassie and all her friends can be found then head over to the Jiggery Makery Face Book group for inspiration

Curly Scooter!!!

Good morning, we've had a fab weekend such a shame it had to end so soon!

On a positive note - It's Monday and that means a new release from My whimsical Little World!

I have a gorgeous girl to share with you today. She is a Lil' scooter girl but she has masses of curls so who knows how she gets a helmet on!!!

I have water colored the background with Spectrum Aquas adding pencil to the bricks for more texture. The image is colored with Polychromo pencils blended in places to help with shading.

The card design is one I haven't used for a while but love doing. I used purple card for the base and a x-cut punch for the edges. The papers are a Do-crafts Papermania set.

This is a better view from the side so you can see the layers of the card

2 piece of card stock make up the card base both punched along the edges and scored so when you open them they hold the card up. A third piece of card hangs over to make the card front.
I still keep the card CAS so the image pops from the front!

Pop by the My Whimsical Little World Esty store where you can purchase this and a whole host of other digis. The why not use them to enter the Challenge over at The My Whimsical Little World Challenge Blog  The theme is anything goes!

Ok so I know that you are dying to make your own designs with these new gorgeous images so pop over to the Etsy shop and get started then land back on the Facebook Group for some more inspiration from my teamies!

Mmmm...... Warm Cocoa

Good morning, Fall is starting to arrive here and I am enjoying the cooler air for a change - makes walking Gizzie so much easier.

It's my showcase day over on the So Suzy blog and I'm following along with the challenge theme.. Happiness is...

Who enjoys snuggling up with a loved one on a Fall evening - I know I do and there is just on thing that makes this perfect.....

A hot cup of cocoa!!!

Yes I have used the fab Hot cocoa and you by my side stamp. That and the Happiness is.. stamp have been stamped in a latte colored ink. The cup is an image from Freshly Brewed Designs that I have colored with my Spectrum Noir markers. I have then used the swirly hearts stamp to add swirls to the opposing corners and the hearts from the same stamp drifting away from the heart shaped steam.

Once stamped I matted the design onto teal card and a 6x6 pale blue card blank.

As well as these there are lots of other stamps in the Happiness is... range over at the store that would be suitable to enter our challenge this month

Schools in!!!

Hi 2nd post from me today!! Julia Spiri is releasing another gorgeous image today, Emily is working hard at school with her toys - take away her curls and this is my little Mollie Moo!! School is definitely her favorite place at the moment and her new teacher is "the best ever!"

Anyway on to my creation

I have done a larger than normal card using an 8x8inch scalloped card blank. I have matted this with pink card and papers from Lili of the Valley

I have colored the main image with Spectrum Noirs but have then water colored the background using Spectrum Aquas. Again I have used pink card to matt the image. I have chosen a few bright pink pearl stars and flowers to embellish the card.

Emily can be found in Julias Etsy store but she is being showcased by me and the rest of my teamies over on the Julia Spiri blog.

Go ahead and grab her, then you can enter our challenge or showcase your makes over on the Facebook group page!

Sewing Diva

Good Morning- what a quiet morning it is - the kids are back at school and Gizzie and I are enjoying the peace!

It's Thursday again and that means I get to showcase on the fab Jiggery Makery Facebook page. I have another wonderful pin-up:

Meet Darlene

She's getting a dress ready for a great night out!!!

I have colored the image using my Spectrum Noirs and matted her onto coordinating purple card. I have used papers from Do Crafts French Lavender capsule collection - the ditzy prints go well with the 50's theme. These have been matted onto the same purple card stock. The sentiment is a stamp from a magazine freebie.

Once again -in order to show the image in all it's splendor I have made a CAS card.

You can find Darlene and all her pin-up friends over at the Jiggery Makery Etsy store  and there is lots of inspiration on how the Design Team use them over on the Facebook group!

Say hi to ........ I have printed her onto a printed water color backing paper and colored her with my Polychromo Pencils. I then typed and printed the sentiment. I have matted her onto turquoise and navy blue card.
As I love my cards CAS I haven't added any embellishments as I don't think they were needed!

Good afternoon, busy busy day for me today so a bit late with my blog.

I have another gorgeous Jiggery Makery Image to share with you today.

Veronica is wearing a stunning gown and is dressed up ready to party:

I have colored her with my Spectrum Noir markers. I have used some dark blue card and a patterned paper from my stash as mats on my card and then added Veronica. The sentiment is from Crafters Companion and I felt this was very fitting for the occasion :)
Not wanting to take away from this stunning image I have just added a few blue crystal gems to finish off the design.

Thanks for stopping by, Veronica can be found over at the Jiggery Makery Etsy shop if you care to take a look! You might just fall in love with all the gorgeous images over there.

Happiness is........

Good morning, fall is right around the corner although we are slipping back into a heat wave just in time for the holiday weekend Yay!!!

Today is the start of a new challenge over at So Suzy Stamps and we are re-visiting her Happiness Is.... stamps

As Fall is nearly here and I love this time of the year here in Michigan I decided to base my card on this:

I have used the Happiness Is.... stamp and the Warm Cider stamp which I stamped onto white card. I used distress ink to color the edges of the card. I matted a white card blank with gold and brown card and used the same colored card along with some deep red to die cut leaves which I placed randomly around the stamps
CAS in Fall!!!
