Blue Birthday

Good morning! we have had a great couple of weeks weather wise this past weekend was just the right temperature for me but now it's going to start getting hot!!!

It's Tuesday again so welcome to the next Digi Choosday Challenge, this week the design team's inspiration is blue birthday. I love the images on the Pretty Sweet CD and haven't used it for a while so I thought I'd revisit it - Meet Bella:

What I Did:
I used my graphics program to resize the uncolored version of Bella and printed it onto stamping card. I then colored her with alcohol markers.
The Gingham paper is also from the CD, as I wanted the pattern smaller I again used my graphics program to shrink it down and I printed it and a sentiment circle from the collection onto smooth cardstock.
I then matted my 5x7in card base with a coordinating blue card. I added the gingham design paper. My image was matted wit h the same blue card but with only 3 sides of it visible. I lined the top edge with my image as the swing goes off the card, this was then adhered to the card base.
I die cut a flower and matted my sentiment on to this This was then fixed to my card using foam squares. Finally I added some small enamel dots to coordinated with the pink in my image.

What I Used:
Digital Stamp: Polkadoodles Pretty Sweet CD Bella
Stamping Card: X-Press It
Alcohol Markers: Copic
Digital Design Paper and sentiment: Polkadoodles Pretty Sweet CD
White Card Base: Core'dinations Premium Heavy Weight
Blue Card: Tonic Studios
Flower die cut: Crafter's Companion
Enamel dots: Gina Marie Designs
Foam Squares: Dollar Store
Glue: ZipDry

Tagging the Heroes

Good Morning! I am currently crafting in a very small space in our hall as my craftroom is having a refit. I am so excited for the final reveal!
It's Tuesday again and what does that mean? Digi Choosday if course!!! Its week 20 over at the challenge blog and this week we are celebrating our pandemic heroes. My card is using the Polkadoodles Winnie Heroes Collection which is currently free on the website:

What I did:
I used my graphics program and layered the pre-colored images and matching sentiments over some of the Polkadoodles' digital papers. These were then printed onto smooth card stock. As most of my equipment is packed away I used the old fashioned way to cut my tags. Using a ruler a set square and cutter! I hole punched the top of the tags and threaded coordinating bakers twine thorough the holes.
I matted a 5x7in card base with green cardstock and another digital paper from the Polkadoodles' collection.
My tags had foam tape added to the backs, the nurse and doctor were arranged at an angle on the sides of my card. I added another level of foam tape on my theatre guy to make him lift further off the card and he was placed in the center of the card.

What I Used:
Pre-Colored Digital Images and sentiments: Polkadoodles Winnie Heroes
Smooth White Cardstock: Neenah Solar White
Green Cardstock: Tonic Studios
Glue: Zipdry
Foam Tape: Dollar Store

Mommy Oink!

Good morning from a bright sunny Michigan! It's still bright but the mornings are still cold!

Kit and Clowder are doing a giveaway event this week with one of Sherry West's gorgeous new images she drew for Mother's Day. Remember the super adorable Peppy Pig? well she's back with her little piglets, she comes with love hearts or without:

What I Did:
I resized the image and printed it on stamping card then colored with alcohol markers.
I matted a 7x5in card base with brown card and used some design paper that i felt fit with the picture to mat the card and added a smaller piece of paper from same pack as an accent detail. My image was matted with the brown card and added to the base. I then used some alpha-dies for my MOTHER letters in the same brown card and added these alongside the image in a scattered pattern.

What I Used:
Digital Stamp: Sherry West Art: Momma Pig and Piglets
Stamping Card: X-Press It
Alcohol Markers: Copic
White cardstock: Core'Dinations Premium heavy weight
Brown card: Core'Dinations
Design Paper: Lili of the Valley (retired)

You Rock - Cave Woman and her pet!

Good Morning! It's bright and sunny here, we spent the weekend out in the yard, we built up a trampoline for Mollie, tidied up flower beds and just soaked up plenty of vitamin D.

What I Did:
I resized the cute Walk the Dinosaur girl printed her on stamping card and colored her with alcohol markers. I then die cut the image into an oval and used another frame die to surround her, this was adhered this to the image with foam squares to give dimension.
I then used a 6x6in card base,  folded the top setion diagonally to make an twisted easel card.
The base of the easel was matted with green card. I then die cut claw marks in to  Polkadoodles digital papers and matted on to the base.
I cut and matted more green card and another paper from Polkadoodles onto the top part of the easel and adhered my image to this.
using the same frame die I made my easel stopper and die cut alphabet letters to spell ROAR! across this.

What I Used:
Digital Image: Polkadoodles: Sticks and Bones Walk the Dinosaur
Stamping Card: X-Press It
Alcohol Markers: Copic
6x6in Card base: Tonic

Make a Splash

Good afternoon, hope that everyone is safe and healthy! We are still on a stay at home order and will be so until at least the 15th May. I have some exciting times coming though, more about that when it happens.

It is Kawaii new release day at Stamper's Delights and as always the images are so adorable:

There are 2 sets the first one I used is Make a Splash, I have used it along side this month's Progressive Challenge images:

What I Did:
I chose the fish bowl from the progressive images and added some plants from the same set. I then used the mermaids and crab from the Make a Splash new release, resized them so everything fit inside the bowl. Having .png files make's it so easy to build scenes like this. I printed this onto stamping card and colored with alcohol markers. I actually colored the images first then added translucent color over this for the water and glass of the bowl. I then added some white gel pen for to give a curved effect to the bowl.
I then chose 2 design papers that would give me a wallpaper and table effect and adhered then to a 5x7in card base.
I resized and printed one of the included sentiments and matted this onto some of the wood effect paper so it looked like a picture frame. a piece of bakers twine some foam dots and a brad hung it on the 'wall'.
I then used foam tape to adhere my fish bowl onto my 'table'.

The other Kawaii new release is You Are Mermazing:

What I Did:
This set comes with 2 cute little mermaids, stars and a cute jellyfish. I chose to use the little male mermaid and the stars. I placed him inside one star and one of the sentiments inside another. Both were colored with alcohol markers and fussy cut.
I then added some coordinating paper to a 5x7in card base. I  die cut a seashell border which I colored and added along the lower card. I adhered the big star to the card and used foam squares to add the sentiment star. I then added green iridescent gems as bubbles.
It's not clear on the photo but I also added glitter to the mermaid's tale.

What I used:
Digital Images: Stamper's Delights: Kawaii Make a Splash, Kawaii You are Mermazing and Fish Bowl
Stamping Card: X-press It
Alcohol Markers: Copic
Card for bases: Core'Dinations Premium Card Stock, heavy weight.
Design Paper both cards: From my stash
Brad & Bakers Twine - From my stash
Green Gems: From my stash
Seashell Border Die: La La Land
