Flower Box

Good morning, well the snow has vanished again over the weekend and the temperatures are reaching above freezing through the day - who knows for how long though!

Today I'm taking over the SumMore Fun blog and my card is a folding flower box creating using 2 SumMore Fun stamp sets:

I made up a card box and decorated this with pretty pink, white and turquoise papers. I then used the Curly Cute Stamp set to stamp out a number of flowers and framed flowers in the same colors. The frames were cut out and placed around each side of the box. I fussy cut the single flowers and glued these to strips of acetate and attached them at different heights inside the box.

I then stamped the frame again and added a sentiment from the Brush Floral stamp set into the center of this. Again this was cut out and added to the back of the box:

The box is made in such away that it will fold and fit inside a 6x6in envelope.

The colors look darker if the photos but they are perfect for the moodboard challenge over on the blog:

Natural Born Camper

Good morning, we've had such a mix of weather these past few weeks but there is still snow on the ground so I prefer to be in doors!

There is a new mood board challenge starting over on the SumMore Fun blog and today I am sharing my interpretation of the board.

Not something you expect for this time of year but some crazy people out there love to camp all year round!

I have used SumMore Fun's Happy Camper stamp set  and colored with cute caravan (camper) in the colors of today's mood board:

And of course cake, presents can only mean one thing so I've added the birthday sentiment from the same set.

I matted my coloring onto bright pink card to keep with the theme and then onto a white card base keeping it a CAS design.

Thanks

Good morning! I'm here today with a little card of thanks.

Who doesn't like getting a card in the post, I know it really makes my day when someone has appreciated what I have done for them and lets me know with a little note!

Today's card is just a simple thanks:

Little James the Bear from Lili of the Valley is gazing out of his window looking at his gorgeous sunflower.
This is a really simple card, I colored the image with alcohol markers and colored pencils. I extended the brick work using a black fine liner so that the image fit my card base.
I matted a white card base with dark brown card and added my image. I die cut 'thanks' from the same brown card and adhered this in place.

Flamingo fun!

Good afternoon! I have a few personal cards I have made over the last month that I will be blogging over the next couple of weeks, some of these will be Christmas cards.

Today's cards were Christmas cards for my neighbors and there is a story behind them.

During the summer my best friend and neighbors took her girls on vacation and I looked after her house and fur babies.

Whilst she was away a local church was raising funds for their children's section by "flocking" peoples yards overnight. So I paid to have her yard flocked in time for her return home:

35 bright pink flamingos adorned her front yard, her house is the first one as you enter the subdivision so everyone saw! She wasn't aware I was the one involved but paid the church to tell her who had done it!!!

Well the flamingo theme has stuck with us so I just had to find some for her Christmas card:

This is a digital stamp from Sasayaki Glitter. I colored them in using alcohol markers and added Spectrum Noir clear Sparkle pen which was difficult to show in the photo.
I then matted my white card base with black card and pink snowflake digital paper. The black card was also used to mat my image and sentiment which I typed and printed using my PC.
I little snowman charm just complemented the design.
The neighbor in between us was also in on the "flocking" so I made a similar card for her using the same products:

Both were taken in good humor and resulted in our outdoor Christmas lights gaining a pink lit flamingo!!

Thanks for stopping by and if you like what you see please let me know in the comments!

I am entering these cards into the following challenges:

Jump For Joy

Good afternoon!
Well I think all the sickness has finally left us, I still have a little cough but I can live with that!

We lost all the snow last week overnight! It suddenly warmed up and rained. We went to be with around a foot on the yard and woke to next to nothing. Didn't stay that way though, came back yesterday and has been snowing on and off most of today!

So I usually like clean and simple crafting but for today's make I decided I was going to get a little messy. I'm showcasing a cute stamp set from the delightful Evaney's Stamps Designs called Galaxy Pals and what better way than with an galaxy sky:

I inked the sky using distress inks and then added splashed of opaque white for my stars. Whilst this was drying I stamped out the cute little alien characters and the planet and colored these with bright alcohol markers.
Once my galaxy was dry and cut to size I arranged my characters along with the planet onto it - had to have one peeking 👽👽.
I then stamped my sentiment my alien speak (zeep zeep) using versamark and embossed this with white powder.
To make up the card I made a black card base, matted it with white card and added my top layer.

Why not pop over to Evaney's Stamp Designs and see the other cute stamp and die sets available.

Hello from Heart

Good morning, this cold weather looks like it is in for the duration of winter here so I thought I'd brighten up the day with some flowers.

These little flowers and sentiment are from the Brush Floral set over at SumMore Fun. I stamped the flowers using aqua markers and fussy cut them, there are plenty of other flowers and leaves among the set but I wanted a simple look. I added white enamel dots to the centers and shaped them before adding them to my wreath. my white card base was matted with 2 shades of purple card. and I adhered the wreath and flowers in place. My sentiment, stamped with purple ink on white card, was also matted with purple and added slightly under one of the flowers. A few purple enamels completed my design.

The Flowers Say Sentiment is also available as a stand alone stamp and would make a great addition to a sentiment collection if you didn't want the flowers

Don't forget our moodboard challenge is try something new this time - we all have new stash, new ideas or want to try new techniques so it's an easy one to start the year!

Try Something New

Good morning, we are still draped in snow and living with frigid temperatures but other than that life is good!

There is a new challenge starting over at SumMore Fun, for this one we don't have a mood board as such we are asking you to try something new so grab the Christmas crafting goodies you got and show us a new technique, new product or a new style!

Sum More Fun have a mood board challenge every 2 weeks, you can win a $20 gift certificate - If you use a Victorine Originals or Raisin Boat Products the prize doubles.

I have done a new card shape using new stamps and dies:

I have used dies to cut a diamond swing card, 3 attempts with the dies and I finally got it right! I then used my new SumMore Fun stamp set Curly Cute. There are loads of possibilities with these stamps I only used 3 from the set and there are 15 more!!!
After assembling my card I stamped Happy Birthday on to one of the diamond mats. I then surrounded this withe the cute flower. I then used the same inks and stamped the flower on and off the edge of my card mats.
These were then adhered in place. When the card is opened fully the back on the diamond also has the cute little flowers over it.

New year blessings

Hello and Happy New Year. I hope everyone had a happy and safe new year's eve. We spent the evening with good friends and good food!

New year is when we wish the best for the people we know so I'm starting with a card that does just that:

There is some exciting news coming along with this card. I have been chosen to join a design team of an up and coming new stamp company Evaney's Stamp Designs.
They have some great sets of stamps that are crammed full of images and sentiments. They also have matching dies which takes away the tedious fussy cutting!

Today I have used their set called Lively Kitchen. I have however just used a couple of the cute little images and one of the many sentiments from the set. There is way more stamps on there to use!

I stamped a border top and bottom of some white card using the sweet little cup stamp multiple times.
I then centered the sentiment before stamping the tiny hearts to look like red confetti.

I matted my white card base with red and blue card to compliment my topper. I didn't need to use any embellishments as the images made the card complete.

Thanks for stopping by and if you like what you see hop on over to Evaney's Stamp Designs store. For more inspiration check out their Blog, FaceBook Page and Instagram from more designs from my teamies
