Cosy Hot Chocolate With Happy Marshmallows

Hello! Happy weekend. we have snow forecast so looking forward to staying in the warm with a cosy blanket and just maybe a hot chocolate.

Have you seen the Stamper's Delights Kawaii Xmas  Coco Digital Stamp - It is so cute!

I couldn't resist using it for one of my holiday cards.

I printed it twice do that I could use parts to layer it. The first image I colored it completely with my Copic markers. The second image I colored the bow on the candy cane, the top 4 marshmallows and the holly with the berries. I then fussy cut these from the image.

Using foam squares I layered the different parts onto my fully colored image to give it some dimension.
I matted a white A2 card base with green mirror cardstock and added my topper. Using sentiment dies I cut Happy Holidays from some red mirror card and added these to my card.

Finally I chose some 'peppermint' Christmas clay piece and adhered these around my cup.

You can find the Kawaii Xmas Coco image on Stamper's Delights webpage and he comes with or without a face - The choice is yours!

Christmas Peace

Hello! Fall has finally arrived and I am loving the cooler temperatures, makes being outside so much more enjoyable!

My post today is inspiration for a Christmas card using Maker Forte products.

I have used elements of Modern Christmas Watercolor Stamp SetFirst I wanted to achieve a fir branch across my card. Using the branch stamp I stamped it in the top corner of my stamping card with British Racing Green Ink.

To avoid it crossing the previous stamped image I masked the branch end of the stamp with masking paper and repeatedly stamped the branch across the card.

To add some depth to the image I repeated these steps with Lady Liberty Ink.

I used one of the sentiments from the stamp settle gorgeous font is a very fine lettering I love the way it works with the images in this set. As it's a fine detail font it needs to stand out against the dark green. Eclipse Black Ink works well for this.

The card needed more detail so using a red alcohol marker and a white gel pen I drew berries among the branches.

While doing this my hand smudge the green ink. I have happy accidents like this all the time, usually a cleverly placed embellishment covers this. This wouldn't have worked on this card, I pressed my ink pad onto a mat and added lots of water. Then, using a paint brush I splattered ink all over my stamping card. Yes the smudges are still there but they now look like part of the design!

I had planned on matting my card with British Racing Green Cardstock but when I tried this it just didn't pop behind the design. Red is too bright so Eclipse Black Cardstock was used. This is a very dark black so makes the sentiment stand out against the splattered background.

Black is not something you usually see on a Christmas card but I feel it works well with this. Finally I matted the design on to a Side Folding A2 Card Base.

Thank you for taking time to read my post and I hope it gives you motivation to start your holiday cards.

All aboard for Christmas!

Good morning! only 4 more sleeps until Christmas and I'm still enjoying all the holiday crafts. My card today is using images from Crescent Creation's Holiday release I have used the Gingerbread collection and a couple of characters from the Together for the Holidays

Isn't that train the cutest???
I added all the characters to it before printing onto stamping card. It was colored with Copic markers and fussy cut.

My card base was matted with some green glitter card and some Kraft snow design paper.
My train was added using foam tape.

I decorated the train further with Wonderland Clay bits - candy canes and hard candy were on the train
but check out my little robin he's taking his stocking with him!

Finally, Crystal Glaze was added to the candy on top of the train!
I love how the little characters can be added to the train - This is because the images are png but are white filled making it easy to build a scene.

Thank you for taking time to view my card. This may be my last holiday card for the year - notice I say maybe???? watch this space!

Tree Farm Fun

Good afternoon from a windy rainy Michigan! It's not looking very festive out but hey there is a week to go yet.

Have you got your trees decorated? Sunshine Bee designs Festive reindeer are visiting the tree farm, in fact I think one has already got the lights on his tree!

I made this slimline card using the festive reindeer digital stamps and the tree from Christmas Fairy digital collection.
I colored all the images and then used my scan n cut to fussy cut them.
My card base was ink blended with distress ink before the images were adhered in place using both wet glue and foam squares.

I added glaze pen to the tree lights and the little reindeer noses. Finally, a good scattering of glitter to make the 'snow' shine.

Thank you for taking time to read, if you love what you see you can buy the images at The Little Paper Tree store where they sell lots of crafting goodies. Do You want some discount? Then use SHARON10 during checkout for 10% off your order!

Fairy Elves Have Trees Too!

Good afternoon. It is bitter cold here and we have had plenty of snow over the last few days - It looks very Christmassy. We decorated for the holidays at the weekend so the inside of the house looks just as festive!

Talking of decorating - do you know who decorates the trees in town? Well it's the fairy elves of course!!! I caught a couple doing so for my latest card:

these super cute images are Sunshine Bee Christmas Fairy digital stamps. they were all colored with Copic markers and fussy cut. My card base was matted with gold mirror card and some snowflake digital paper. My tree was adhered flat to the card.

My fairies were joined together with some twine threaded through where their hands were. The twine was then arranged over the tree and the fairies glued in place with foam squares. Finally I added some Golden Baubles embellishment mix to the tree and some glaze to the star.

Merry Puppy Christmas

Good morning! Hope everyone is ready for the holiday. Thanksgiving isn't celebrated in the UK but we've embraced it since coming to the US.

My card today is using some of The Little Paper tree's new release, if you know me I'm crazy about my fur babies so as soon as I saw this little guy he was printed and colored:

This little guy and his tree are part of The Sunshine and Bee digital stamp collection Fairy Digital Stamps - He has 2 fairy friends also in the collection.
I printed him and the tree on Stamping card and colored him with my Copic markers. I matted an A7 card base with green mirror card and some festive digital paper. I trimmed my image and matted it the the same green mirror card. Using word dies I cut Merry Christmas 4 times, 3 in white card and the forth in mirror. I stacked these to give dimension.

My image was added using foam tape again for dimension. Finally I added Golden Baubles to the tree as ornaments.

Hot Chocolate and Cocoa

Good afternoon. Are you looking forward to the holiday this week?

Well before that Crescent Creations has a new release and are doing a blog/you tube hop to celebrate where you could win yourself some goodies. I have used Sweet Christmas for my inspiration:

I resized the cups and placed them together, they are great for building a scene because although they are png images they are solid images so you can layer them without the worry of the back image showing through. The sentiment was added before printing on to stamping cardstock.

The images were colored with Copic markers I then added glaze to the tall glass to make it look more like glass.

I matted an A7 card base with green glitter card, this card is part of the new release and is great because although the glitter shines amazingly it doesn't shed!
My image was added to the glitter card stock I felt the card needed something more so I used the lights from Christmas Gnomies digital stamp set, colored and cut them a few times and strung them along the top of the card.

To take part in the hop you have to stop at each of my teamies blogs/you tube channels and leave us a comment. The winner will be announced on 30th November on the Crescent Creations channel and Instagram. It would be amazing if you could subscribe/follow all the design team's channels as you hop!

You hopped here from Tammi and the next amazing inspiration is Heather's. If you get lost along the way head back to Crescent Creations for the full list!

Thanks for stopping by.

New Release Instagram Hop

Good Morning! Happy Thursday it's nearly the weekend hope you have fun times planned.

It's Sunshine & Bee Designs new release day at The Little Paper Tree and we have some super cute images for you this month:

I couldn't resist coloring this little scene. The image is 2 digital stamps. I placed the Reindeer and Tree and then layered the sentiment over so it fit perfectly. I printed it onto Stamping card and colored with my Copic markers.

I cut this down to 4x5.25inches. I matted an A2 card base with red cardstock. I strung some Christmas colored bells onto some bakers twine and hung this across the top of my stamped and colored card. This was then added to my card base with foam tape giving it dimension.

The Instagram hop is happening over on my Instagram account so head over there for the details and to enter.
Comments left here will not be entered you need to comment on Instagram

It's new release day at Stamper's Delights and I have a cute Anime girl who is great for holiday cards, meet Anime Secret Santa:

She is all dressed up as Santa's Elf ready to hand out those gifts.

I printed the image on to Stamping card and colored her with Copic markers. I then matted an A2card base with red card stock and candy cane digital design paper. My images was also matted onto red card and added to the card. To finish I die cut a sentiment from both red and green cardstock adhering these together to give a shadow before adding to my card.

Holiday Door Step

Good afternoon! do you realize we are almost half way through October - time please slow down!

My post today is to celebrate the new release from Crescent Creations and the holidays are coming! To celebrate the new release we are having a blog hop  I have used 2 digital stamp sets from their new digital collection, Front Door and Christmas Gnomie. The Front Door collection is a great set that comes with all the components of a stoop and decorations to dress it up. The Christmas Gnomie works well with this set too, and I have decorated both inside and outside of the card with them. Like all of their digital collections the images are PNGs which opaque inside and clear on the outside making them great for scene building.

For this card I resized each image so that they fit well together. I printed them off as individual images and colored with my Copic markers.
For my house wall I used a brick embossing folder on brick red cardstock. I then inked this with distress ink to make the brick work pop. This was then added to an A7 card base.
I added my steps first, centering then on the lower edge of my card and lining up with the bottom of the brickwork. My door was adhered above this and wreath and ribbon placed on this. My Christmas trees were printed with one flipped so the décor on them was more symmetrical. These were added either side of the stoop. I had originally colored the ornaments on the wreath and trees with Glaze pens but this didn't give the dimension I was looking for so I added gold half pearls in various sizes. I colored the ribbon in gold and added this to the wreath. My first Gnomie was colored and positioned on the stoop.
My sentiment, which is also included was foiled and fussy cut using my cameo and foil quill. I fixed this in place with foam tape.
Finally I added some crystal glaze to the windows above the door to make it shine like glass.

I then decided to decorate the inside of the card with some of the other images. Gnomie 2 is decorating the tree in the house behind the door I colored all the images in, I die cut an oval topped piece of red card from the Fall Theme Cardstock mix and adhered this inside. this left white space for writing in the card. My images were then arranged with Gnomie climbing a ladder to hang ornaments.

Our blog hop runs until October 23rd and on winner will win a $25 gift certificate to the Crescent Creations store. All you have to do to be in with a chance to win is hop along all the stops and leave a comment. Oh and we would appreciate a follow too!
You should have arrived here from Tammi, your next stop is Heather if you get lost along the way head on over to the Crescent Creation's page for the full list

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you like what you see!

From Us and Ours at Christmas

Good afternoon, we are going to have a white Christmas, it's been snowing on and off all day it makes it feel so much more festive. As all my personal cards have hopefully been received by now I can share them here.

Both my kids grew up being able to recite the book Guess How Much I Love You by Sam McBratney we loved the book and still do. So when Colorado Craft Company brought out a range of stamps drawn by Anita Jeram the illustrator from the book I had to have them.  My first cards are using some of these stamps. This one went to a neighbor who recently moved states and is missed! I used to provide doggy day care for her puppy so of course cards to her always have puppies on them

This stamp is from the Christmas Presents set. I stamped the image and sentiment onto watercolor card and broke out my Spectrum Noir Aquablend watercolor pencils to color this pooch.

I wanted a clean and simple card so card base was matted with dark red cardstock and my image added. I also matted the inside and colored and added another image from the set with Merry Christmas sentiment:

My next card is using stamps from the same company, this set is Snow Happy:

Again I stamped on to watercolor card and colored with my Aquablend pencils the added sentiments. I matted a card inside and out with aqua cardstock and added my image on the front and stamped the cute bunny inside too

I also made some 3D cards I bought these cutting file from Silhouette Design store, cut the individual parts on my Cameo and built them up. The files are designed by Lori Whitlock and there is a whole collection of different ones:

I do have more to share but I don't want to spoil the surprise so check back for more later!!

Thank you for taking time to read and Merry Christmas, keep safe and well!

Make A Wish at Christmas

Good Morning! hope everyone is ready for Christmas. If you need to make some last minute cards Joy Clair have the products you need! Digital stamps work great for last minute papercrafts as you don't have to wait for them to arrive, you can download them instantly!

My card today uses 2 of the digital sets available:

I first used Make a Wish, resizing the row of gifts so they fit great on a slimline card. I then used Santa's Favorite for my sentiments. they were resized and printed along the top of my row of gifts. Aqua and purple are one of my favorite holiday combinations so the gifts were colored and a few gold touches and white highlights added with gel pens. Finally I matted a slimline card base with gold and aqua cardstock before adding my image.

So if you have any last minute cards to make these sets make great quick and simple cards.

Thank you for stopping by. I will be back during the month with more inspiration from Joy Clair. Also my teamies will be sharing with you over on the Joy Clair Facebook Group.
