Homemade gingerbread

 Hello - We are already for the big man in the red suit to pay us a visit. Even my cards have started doing Christmas crafts - Crescent Creation's little gingerbread people have built their own gingerbread house.

I printed out 4 images of the Gingerbread House on plain card stock and one on stamping card which I colored. I glued 2 houses together. For the next 2 I cut the sides off and glued the centers of the houses to the 2 others this gave a chipboard effect to my house. The one on stamping card was colored with Copic markers, had the sides cut off and the center adhered to the stack. The sides were glued in place this gave dimension to my gingerbread house.

I sized my little gingerbread people so they would work with the house, colored these and fussy cut them.

I matted an A2 card base with some of the gorgeous red glitter mix cardstock from Crescent Creations and some Kraft snowy paper.

My house was adhered in place. My little gingerbread man sat with his recipe book at the side of the house. He is telling is pals how to decorate the house.

Finally, I added glaze to the candy on the house and added holly and berry from the Wonderland Claybits to the door.

Hot Chocolate and Cocoa

 Good afternoon. Are you looking forward to the holiday this week? 

Well before that Crescent Creations has a new release and are doing a blog/you tube hop to celebrate where you could win yourself some goodies. I have used Sweet Christmas for my inspiration:

I resized the cups and placed them together, they are great for building a scene because although they are png images they are solid images so you can layer them without the worry of the back image showing through. The sentiment was added before printing on to stamping cardstock.

The images were colored with Copic markers I then added glaze to the tall glass to make it look more like glass.

I matted an A7 card base with green glitter card, this card is part of the new release and is great because although the glitter shines amazingly it doesn't shed!

My image was added to the glitter card stock I felt the card needed something more so I used the lights from Christmas Gnomies digital stamp set, colored and cut them a few times and strung them along the top of the card.

Christmas Decor

 Good morning! Hope everyone is having a good weekend. we have some dry weather so better than the week has been!

My post today is inspiration for the last new release at Crescent Creations:

The Merry Christmas Big Sentiment Digital Stamp is great for making quick and easy cards. I printed it onto stamping card, colored the ornaments and holly with Copic markers and traced the sentiment with black glaze pen.

I matted an A2 card base with alternating red glitter and gold mirror card and added my image.

Finally I added a few gilded pearls to draw the eye into the design.

There is a new release from Crescent Creations coming this week ( may have used a sneak peek on my card) as well as a blog hop to check back soon!

Happy Fall

 Good afternoon! I've had a busy day, early hospital appointment and then doing my chores but I've now got a few minutes to write up my blog post for some design team inspiration.

My card today is using the Happy Fall digital stamp set from Crescent Creations. It's finally starting to look like fall here, the leaves are changing color and showing us God's box of crayons! I have tried to replicate some of these colors in my design:

The digital set comes with the happy Fall both with leaves under it and on its own. I decided to use the former but have also added more leaves to it before printing on to stamping card. I also printed some single leaves. All were colored with Copic markers and I added black Glaze pen to the words. My A2 card base was matted with some dark red card stock which is also part of the October release over at Crescent Creations. I then added my image. The single leaves were fussy cut and shaped with a ball tool to give dimension and to look more realistic.

Holiday Door Step

 Good afternoon! do you realize we are almost half way through October - time please slow down!

My post today is to celebrate the new release from Crescent Creations and the holidays are coming! To celebrate the new release we are having a blog hop  I have used 2 digital stamp sets from their new digital collection, Front Door and Christmas Gnomie. The Front Door collection is a great set that comes with all the components of a stoop and decorations to dress it up. The Christmas Gnomie works well with this set too, and I have decorated both inside and outside of the card with them. Like all of their digital collections the images are PNGs which opaque inside and clear on the outside making them great for scene building. 

For this card I resized each image so that they fit well together. I printed them off as individual images and colored with my Copic markers.

For my house wall I used a brick embossing folder on brick red cardstock. I then inked this with distress ink to make the brick work pop. This was then added to an A7 card base.

I added my steps first, centering then on the lower edge of my card and lining up with the bottom of the brickwork. My door was adhered above this and wreath and ribbon placed on this. My Christmas trees were printed with one flipped so the décor on them was more symmetrical. These were added either side of the stoop. I had originally colored the ornaments on the wreath and trees with Glaze pens but this didn't give the dimension I was looking for so I added gold half pearls in various sizes. I colored the ribbon in gold and added this to the wreath. My first Gnomie was colored and positioned on the stoop.

My sentiment, which is also included was foiled and fussy cut using my cameo and foil quill. I fixed this in place with foam tape.

Finally I added some crystal glaze to the windows above the door to make it shine like glass.

I then decided to decorate the inside of the card with some of the other images. Gnomie 2 is decorating the tree in the house behind the door I colored all the images in, I die cut an oval topped piece of red card from the Fall Theme Cardstock mix and adhered this inside. this left white space for writing in the card. My images were then arranged with Gnomie climbing a ladder to hang ornaments.

Trick or Treat!

 Good afternoon! We are tucked up in the Tennessee Smokey Mountains for a little break just relaxing and having fun.

My post today is more inspiration using 2 sets the Spooky Nights new release from Crescent Creations. Happy Halloween and Trick or Treat.

Because these are PNG filled with white they are easy to scene build. I started with the landscape from Happy Halloween and placed 2 of the Trick or Treat characters behind it. Everything was resized and I added the sentiment before printing onto Stamping cardstock.

The scene was colored with Copic markers and the background inked with distress ink.

Black glaze pen was added to the "cat" noses and the letters of the sentiment, this makes them a darker black and gives them a shine.

So as not to take away from the scene I just added the image onto an A7 black card base.

 Good afternoon! It's hump day already, where is the time going?

My post today is inspiration and a link for a blog hop for a company new to me. Crescent Creations is an online craft store that sells lots of crafting goodies including their own digital stamp collections. It's a new release day today and we are having a blog hop to celebrate.

The digital images are PNG files, but are white on the inside so you can layer them up. I have chosen to use their brand new Happy Diwali set. This comes with 2 mandalas a candle and 5 sentiments in different fonts.

I have made 2 cards to showcase both the mandalas which are stunning colored in bright colors.

The first mandala reminded my so much of a marigold flower which is synonymous with Diwali -used for garlands and offerings to the Hindu gods.

I printed it onto stamping cardstock and colored it with shades of orange marker.

The second is stunning, I used markers to color the mandala I also added silver paint pen for extra shine.

For both cards I used a paisley digital design paper on which I printed my sentiment.

I matted an A2 black card base with orange and black cardstock to make the colors pop even more. My design paper was added and the mandala was adhered with foam squares for dimension. Finally I added some iridescent bubbles which pick up the colors of the mandalas.
