Baby Love

Good afternoon! We've had a busy weekend but I still found time to sit and do some crafting.

This beautiful image is part of a coloring book by Radiant Artistry Designs. It is available from Kathleen's Kofi account and is called Delightful Treasures. I colored the image with Copic markers and Prismacolor pencils before matting it and adding to a slimline cardbase.

If you don't know how Ko-Fi works you join the membership or make one time donations to support the artist and in return you get access to their work. Kathleen has some amazing work and is very generous with her art. You can find her on her Facebook and Instagram accounts where she does often give away free images.

I hope you love my work - if so let me know in the comments

Mandala Love

Good morning! We are still at home, enjoying the sunshine and working in the yard, our veggie garden is doing great we enjoying offerings from it.

I'm back today with more inspiration for the August Joy Clair new release. This card is using one of the designs and a sentiment from the Mandala Love collection:

I loved coloring this, so relaxing just to sit and color. The Mandala is actually a full one but I decided to cut it down for my design. I used Bristol Smooth paper and printed both the mandala and sentiment. I chose to use this paper so I could color with my Prismacolor pencils, I don't use them independently often so thought I'd give them a try.
Once colored I matted the image with black card and added to a cream card base (this was so the Bristol Smooth didn't look dirty as it would with a white base).
I added a few iridescent gems which catch the color of the mandala at certain angles.

They are perfect for any card makers style but  I am loving being able to make my favorite card style, Clean and Simple, with the Joy Clair images.

Thank you for stopping by. I will be back during the month with more inspiration using the new release. Also my teamies will be sharing with you over on the Joy Clair Facebook Group.

Flower Girl

Good afternoon, Oh I wish winter was done now, I'm over the snow and ice and frigid temperatures.

Today's post is all about Stamper's Delights Thrifty Thursday! Yes head on over to the store and see what amazing stamps are at reduced price. While there check out the one I have used a great mother's day set: Anime Just for You Mum.

As Mother's Day isn't for a few months here in US I decided to make her in to a friend card.

What I Did:
I resized and printed the stamp with out the sentiment (yes you get both plus a separate sentiment) on to stamping paper. She was colored her with alcohol markers with some pencil to add detail.
I then matted a white card base with teal cardstock. An oval die cut aperture was made with a piece of yellow card and this was then lightly inked through a stencil to give a shadow pattern.
A adhered my image into the aperture and positioned this on my card base. The flowers were shaped into a spray and placed around the bottom edge of the aperture. I die cut and colored some leaves to add a more realistic look to the flower spray.
The sentiment is a rub-on which balanced the card for me

What I Used:
Stamping card: X-press It
Alcohol Markers: Copic - I didn't list these as I colored
Pencils: Prismacolor Premier
White card base: Core'Dinations Premium Cardstock
Teal and yellow card: from my stash
Flowers: From my stash
Leaves: die cut using Susan's Garden Club dies
Sentiment: Crafter's Companion

Scorpio Strikes

Good afternoon, October has definitely arrived, the air is cooler and fall colors are abundant.

October brings Scorpio and Scrapper's Delight's VIP deal this month brings a whole host of Scorpion images free if you purchase this week's new release.

My card uses a few of the Scorpio images, a background, sentiment and the anime image:

I layered the images using a graphics program, recolored the Scorpio text and printed on to X-Press It card. I colored it all using Copic markers and Prismacolor pencils, adding white gel pen for highlights.
I matted a 7x5in card base with an amber colored card, black card and then my image. I then added yellow dots using Nuvo Drops.

The new release are these cute anime girls but all free and Scorpio is yours free of charge.

Well balanced

Good afternoon, harvest time is upon us, our town does a hay art competition and the bales are starting to pop up all over town.

October is just around the corner which means it will soon be my birthday. Yes I'm a Libra and this weeks VIP deal over at Scrapper'sDelights includes a gorgeous collection of Libra digital stamps.

I have used one of the main elements for my design team card;

She comes both with and without the Libra scales.I have colored her with Copic markers and used Prismacolor pencils and Staedtler fine liners for shading and highlights.
I matted a 5x7 inch card with Pink card and added some design papers from my stash. My image was matted with same card and adhered to my base. I colored one of the date banners from the kit a pale pink and added this to the top of my image. A few pink enamel dots just balanced the design.

If you want this gorgeous image you can only get it with the 3 day deal which includes these other stunning images:

Batty

Good afternoon, we've had a lovely fall day today, Mollie did a cross country run and it was nice to be outside without the overpowering heat.

As Halloween draws ever nearer I am loving using cute images to make a collection of cards.
Today I am showcasing another or the cutsie Lili Of The Valley ones:

Isn't he just the most adorable little bat you have seen??

I colored him and his background using Copic markers and Prismacolor pencils for accents. I added extra tiny stars with white and gold gel markers before matting my image onto black and amber card.

I made a 7 x 5 inch base card and matted this with the same colors of card and some free digital paper with the word Boo! on it.
I used some coordinating ribbon as a border underneath my image and added my Boo sentiment to this using foam dots.
I few black pearls either side of the sentiment were added to draw the eye to it.

Cats and Pumpkins

Good afternoon, the temperatures fell this afternoon, it was so nice to have the doors open and air blowing through the house. Fall is finally arriving I just hope that we have seen the end of the high temps.

Along with Fall comes Halloween and today's card is such a cute Halloween scene:

Halloween Cats is a digi stamp from Lili Of The Valley. This was my second attempt at coloring the image. My cats on the first one were a touch too dark and you couldn't quite make out their features.
I colored the image with Copic markers and Prismacolor pencils. I followed Mindy Baxter's tutorial for creating a Halloween background which I think turned out well and really shows off the characters.
The image is actually framed so I colored this in black rather than adding a mat layer to it.
I made a 5 x 7 inch card base and matted this with orange and black card. The design paper is a free digital paper which I felt coordinated well. I stamped my Trick or Treat Sentiment on orange card and matted this with black. After arranging my image and sentiment I placed black pearls to balance out the design.

Lili of The Valley used to be my favorite stamp company when I lived in the UK as we lived in the same town as their store I was a frequent customer. I hadn't bought many stamps from them since moving to USA but now they do digital stamps and I don't have to wait for them to be shipped that has changed 😁

Ride On

Good afternoon, We have finally had some rain today, not enough for what is needed but at least it's broken the drought.

This week I plan on showcasing some cards that I have made using stamps that I have in my personal collection.
Today's card is using a set From Raisin Boat. Now Raisin Boat closed a few months back but I heard some exciting news a couple of weeks ago, They have been taken over by Victorine Originals and I am so happy because I love their stamps - they also do a stamp rental system which again is great if you have a special card to make but don't want to buy a new stamp set.

I do own the stamp set I have used today which is Highway High:

I stamped the main image onto X-press it card and colored it using Copic markers and Prismacolor pencils. I then matted on to black card.
I then used the Ride On stamp from the set to make my design paper, stamping it multiple times at different angles using black ink on red card. I made a 5x7 inch card base and matted this with black card before adding the red card.
I stamped another of the sentiments from the set onto white card, matting it with black card. I added this along the side of my image and positioned it into the center of my card.

You can't beat riding a motorcycle in the summer like the sentiment says two wheels move the soul!
