Good morning everyone spring as finally sprung and we are seeing the warmer weather

It's the last couple of days of So Suzy Stamp's birthday themed challenge. So get your entries in you could be $15 of So Suzy credit richer to use on some gorgeous stamps and goodies!

For my make this time I have used the gorgeous Butterfly bride stamp but yes as a birthday card:

I have stamped the image using glue onto purple card and then used gilding flakes to color it. The card picture doesn't show the intricacy of the butterflies on the stamp so I took another photo of just the stamped image

I then die cut tiny butterflies from gold and purple mirror card and placed these to look as though they are flying from the dress. A corner punch added more decoration to the edges of the card and this was then matted onto the purple mirror card and a cream card blank.
I then die cut a border and scalloped oval using same card and placed these below the image.

Yet another beautiful stamp from Suzy!

Pretty in pink

Good morning. It's time for Scribble and Scrap's 43rd Challenge to start.

As always it's anything goes as long as you have physically crafted it - no digital entries. The rules are simple and you can find them here.

There will be a random generated winner and then the top 3 will be showcased.

It was a dear friend's birthday this week so I have chosen to take the opportunity to show case the card I made for her as my Design Team card

I color tinted the edges of a 8x8 scalloped card blank using Tim Holtz abandoned coral distress ink pad. Then embossed a smaller piece of card with the Couture Creations tied together folder. Using a folder blank so the center of the card did not emboss. Then using same color ink I tinted the edges of this card and used a Lili of the Valley sentiment stamp in the center. I die cut the leaves and again color tinted these before placing over the corners.
The ribbon was again color tinted with the same ink, I tied this in a double bow and added gems from my stash to the center of the bow and around the card.

Danelion Wishes

Good Morning, despite having 2 fab days last weekend we are back to the cold here. It's been snowing on and off for most of the week, it's not settled thank goodness!

I'm here for my showcase day over at So Suzy Stamps

How are we all enjoying the challenge this month? The birthday theme fit in fab with it being the birthday of So Suzy Stamps!

My post today is show casing an older set of stamps Dandelion and fluff:

I have stamped them with a versamark watermark pad and then heat set Wow embossing glitter on them. They do have a twinkle to them that doesn't show too well in the picture. I have then used the Birthday Wishes sentiment which again I have embossed using Wow bright white embossing powder. For extra sparkle I have added crystal hot gems randomly to the card.

Thanks for stopping by and before you leave hit the April tab on the top right of the blog and enter our challenge. If you don't have a blog - don't worry you can enter over at our Facebook group

Whiskers with flowers

Good morning. It's a lovely spring day here, the sun is shining and we have finally got flowers in the garden!

Just in time for the Wags and Whiskers new challenge who's theme this time is flowers.

The challenge runs for 2 weeks and you can enter 2 times per challenge. It must be a new project, fit the theme, no back linking and the linky must be a direct link to your project entry.

You can use any stamp to enter the challenge however if you use a Wags 'n' Whiskers stamp you will be entered into a 2nd draw for a free Wags 'n' Whiskers digital stamp in addition to the regular prize of a Wags 'n' Whiskers rubber stamp!

Onto my Design team make for this challenge:

I have used Gemma and Bella's Spring fun stamp they have been colored with  my Spectrum Noir markers. I have then used a spellbinder die to cut the image out and a distress ink to tint the card.
I used a scalloped card blank folded into an easel shape and glued the image to this. The backing paper is from Lili of the Valley and I have matted this and my sentiment onto lilac card. The sentiment, which is a stamp from my stash, acts as a stopper for the easel.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you leave some love before you leave to join the challenge!

The rest of the rules are simple and you can find them here.
As always there is a great prize for the randomly chosen winners and you also get the opportunity to have your work showcased in our top 3

On to my design team card:

As Mother's Day is fast approaching here I thought I would make a start on some cards for this. The image here is from Lili of the Valley and I have colored it with my Spectrum Noirs. I have matted it onto Kraft card and used some digital papers to enhance it further. The card blank have been punched with a doily edger punch and I have also added a strip of this under the backing paper on the left hand side to balance the card. I have used a Lili of the Valley sentiment stamp for the tag and a metal corner some pearls and ribbon just finish the design.

Birthday wishes from So Suzy

Good morning It's bright and sunny here on our travels although we are now heading back home!

I am here to remind you about the challenge over at the So Suzy Stamps blog. It is easy to enter you just need to post your card either using the link up on the So Suzy Stamp blog or head to the Facebook group and post it there. The prize is a fab $15 gift card for the So Suzy Stamp Store! Rules are simple and you can find them here.
The theme this month is birthday card and I have used some of this month's new releases to create my card.

The line leaf one stamp was used in the background. I have stamped it 3rd generation to give it a delicate skeleton look. Once dry I then used the single flower swirl stamp which I stamped with 2 colors, separating stem and flower, for the 4 corners of the card. I then did a 2nd generation stamp with just the flower head to give it a shadowed look. This was then matted onto pink card which matched the flowers as did the corner pearls.
The sentiment is from Lili of the Valley. I wanted to demonstrate the wonderful background you can make with the gorgeous collection of So Suzy Stamps and how these can draw the attention to the whole card instead of just the center.

Right now why don't you pop across to the Facebook group and add your makes or click April in the right hand column here to enter via a blog post.

On to my card:

I have used Owl on a branch digistamp printed straight onto my card blank and colored of course with my Spectrum Noir markers. I have then (a change to my original plan) die cut 2 spellbinder tags from Core'dinations card and 6 adorable little owls from a new memory box die - forest Neighbors and placed these on the card.  The sentiment stamp I have used is from a Crafters Companion's  Rachel Ann Miller collection. A have then added a few pearls just to enhance the card.

Shabby Chic

Good evening, morning, afternoon depending on where you are in the world. I hope the Easter bunny ha hopped by your place and left you some yummy goodies!

Today is the start of Challenge 7 over at Lil Patch of Crafty friends. The challenge as always is anything goes and you can find the rules here. The main one to observe is you can only enter 10 challenges along with ours.

As always we have some fab sponsors offering great prizes:

Prize - $20 to spend in store

Prize - 3 images

Prize - €10

For my design team card I have used Michele R Designs who has some gorgeous vintage shabby chic papers and embellishments.

The set the design team have been given to use is just stunning. It's called Whimsy Romance and includes, papers, elements and inserts.
I have used one of the 6x6 papers twice, resizing one so I could layer it with the pink card. All the edges of the layers have been distressed before matting them onto a 6x6 card blank. I have then glued some lace across the top layer before adding a post card and bow from the elements packs.
I die cut the With Love from a tattered lace die set and added flowers and pearls from my stash

Having added the sentiments using a graphics package on my pc I then printed off one of the gorgeous insert sheets for the center of my card.
I tend to shy away from vintage/shabby chic but these papers made it so easy to stick within the theme.

Exciting news!!!

Good morning all hope you have some fab things planned for Spring break, we are setting off on a road trip in an RV today so we are very excited!

This is not my only exciting news I have been given a place on Wags and Whiskers Fab design team and I and debuting my first card today.

Wags and Whiskers are a stamp company who have the most adorable stamps for sale. They run a fortnightly challenge which is themed.
The prize is a Wags and Whiskers rubber stamp.  You can use any stamp for the challenge however, if you use a Wags and Whiskers stamp you will be entered into a second draw to win a digistamp.
Rules are
You can enter any type of paper-craft project.
You can enter 2 times per challenge.
You must use a new project - no back linking.
Follow the theme.
You link must be a direct link to your entry.

Now onto this challenge my first make for the design team:

The theme is use buttons. I have used Snuzzle Love for my image. She has been colored using Spectrum Noir pens and fussy cut. I have to honor the design of my card to Pinterest - not sure where it originated from though. I used Lili of the Valley backing papers matted onto some pink card. I printed the sentiment on some checked paper from the same collection using my pc and glued this to the base paper. I then cut the frame using spellbinder dies, I fixed acetate to this and foam tape to seal the edges. Yellow and pink buttons were placed on top of the checked paper and the frame placed over them making the shaker element. I used a pink fine tip pen for the faux stitching and placed the image on the card. I then used 4 square pink buttons with bakers twine threaded through them for further embellishments.
Mollie has already claimed the card as she says the girl looks just like her - and she's not wrong!!

So on to the release and the start of April's challenge. This month the theme is birthdays you can enter as many times as you want the only rules being use a So Suzy Stamp and follow the theme Simple!!!

I have used one of the fab new stamps girl on a swing:

Isn't she just adorable!!! I have colored her with my Spectrum Noir pens and added Polychromo pencil to her hair for more texture. The backing paper is from a Papermania capsule collection. I have used a spellbinder die to cut the tree twice, once on brown card and the second on the green. These have been placed on top of each other and the tree trunk in the green has been cut away to show the brown underneath. The flowers were made using a small flower punch, shaped and glued to the tree.
I placed a water-colored background behind the tree and then used pop stickers to fix the little girl in place. This was then matted onto the background paper.
The sentiment was printed from my pc onto the same paper used in the background. I then matted this onto some of the brown card. I die cut some vines and added some of the flowers around the sentiment to tie in with the image.
I think you would agree the little darling is so sweet.
