Be Mine

Good afternoon are you ready for my 2nd post of the day?

There are so many new stamps from Prickley Pear and for this wee only you can get them at great prices with the deals that are being offered - more about that below!

Sticking with the Valentine's theme for today, the stamp I have used had a very vintage feel to it so I used this as my theme for the card.

I colored the Be Mine Forever stamp with my polychromo pencils to give it a more delicate effect than my markers would.
I then die cut the image into an oval shape and inked it to give it a vintage feel. This was then placed onto an ornate die cut.
I matted my card base with pick card and some vintage looking design paper. I cut a lacy doily in half pleated it and inked the edges. This was placed behind my image before adding them both to my card. A few tiny mulberry roses and some enamel dots just balanced the card.

Thank you for stopping by, to see all the new release stamps head on over to the new release section of the Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps website - don't forget the offers:

You can find more inspiration from me and my teamies on the Prickley Pear blog and their Facebook page.

Hello and welcome to the third post from me today!

For each challenge you enter a Christmas card and we also have a monthly theme. This month the theme is Vintage

The sponsor for this theme is Luna Girl

The prize she is offering is a $15.00 gift card to one randomly chosen link up that has followed the challenge theme.

We also have a second sponsor Decosse's Dynamite Doodles

Prize being offered: One free digital paper to everyone who links up a minimum of two cards to the challenge.  Cards can be anything goes for this prize, you only have to follow the theme if you want a chance the main prize.  The mini set of six digital papers called A Grungy Christmas, will also be offered up as a prize to one random winner.
If you do follow the optional theme, be sure to add FT after your name so that we include you in the draw for the prize.

On to my make for the challenge:

I have used an image from the Luna Girl's Dreaming of a Pink Christmas collage sheet and the Grungy Christmas paper's from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles. First I inked the edges of my card blank with distress ink and then used the papers as mats. The lace was again inked with the distress ink to "vintage" it and placed across the card. I the distressed the edges of a further piece of grungy Christmas paper as well as the image. These were placed on an angle on the card. The card candi was colored with the same ink and place on opposing corners.

So come and enter our challenge - It's easy just check out the details here

Shabby Chic

Good evening, morning, afternoon depending on where you are in the world. I hope the Easter bunny ha hopped by your place and left you some yummy goodies!

Today is the start of Challenge 7 over at Lil Patch of Crafty friends. The challenge as always is anything goes and you can find the rules here. The main one to observe is you can only enter 10 challenges along with ours.

As always we have some fab sponsors offering great prizes:

Prize - $20 to spend in store

Prize - 3 images

Prize - €10

For my design team card I have used Michele R Designs who has some gorgeous vintage shabby chic papers and embellishments.

The set the design team have been given to use is just stunning. It's called Whimsy Romance and includes, papers, elements and inserts.
I have used one of the 6x6 papers twice, resizing one so I could layer it with the pink card. All the edges of the layers have been distressed before matting them onto a 6x6 card blank. I have then glued some lace across the top layer before adding a post card and bow from the elements packs.
I die cut the With Love from a tattered lace die set and added flowers and pearls from my stash

Having added the sentiments using a graphics package on my pc I then printed off one of the gorgeous insert sheets for the center of my card.
I tend to shy away from vintage/shabby chic but these papers made it so easy to stick within the theme.
