Bunches of Love for Mom

Good morning and Happy Thursday!  I hope everyone is staying warm during this unprecedented cold weather. We are used to it in Michigan but I know the south are suffering.

My design today is bright and cheery, back in UK Mother's Day is on March 14 so I thought I give some inspiration to everyone across the pond. Bunch of Love from this month's new release is a perfect digital image set for this and I paired it with the sentiments from Cup of Joy as this has some sweet Mothering Sunday phrases:

The image was printed twice and the sentiment once, the gorgeous roses were colored with Copic makers I also colored just the bow from the second image, both bunches were fussy cut taking just the bow from the second image.

I stenciled a piece of cardstock with a leaf pattern, matted a card base with coordinating blue card and added my stenciled panel. The roses were shaped and added to my card with glue gel to give dimension. After cutting with a tag die my sentiment was adhered in place. Finally I added the pieces of the second bow, using foam squares and glue gel to give shape.

You can see in this photo the dimension I achieved.

Thank you for stopping by. I will be back during the month with more inspiration from Joy Clair. Also my teamies will be sharing with you over on the Joy Clair Facebook Group.

You can check out the new release and all of Joy Clair's products over in their store.

Be Mine

Good afternoon are you ready for my 2nd post of the day?

There are so many new stamps from Prickley Pear and for this wee only you can get them at great prices with the deals that are being offered - more about that below!

Sticking with the Valentine's theme for today, the stamp I have used had a very vintage feel to it so I used this as my theme for the card.

I colored the Be Mine Forever stamp with my polychromo pencils to give it a more delicate effect than my markers would.
I then die cut the image into an oval shape and inked it to give it a vintage feel. This was then placed onto an ornate die cut.
I matted my card base with pick card and some vintage looking design paper. I cut a lacy doily in half pleated it and inked the edges. This was placed behind my image before adding them both to my card. A few tiny mulberry roses and some enamel dots just balanced the card.

Thank you for stopping by, to see all the new release stamps head on over to the new release section of the Prickley Pear Rubber Stamps website - don't forget the offers:

You can find more inspiration from me and my teamies on the Prickley Pear blog and their Facebook page.

Time for a spot of gardening

Good afternoon - well May is almost upon and us and summer is on it's way! We have started planting out our yard with flower tubs and vegetables - we have so much grass that it needs color out there.

Today's card is my final make for my Guest Design Team member over at 2 Paper Divas and it a great gardening scene

Garden Joy was my favorite to color I loved using delicate colors and the image is almost dreamlike.

Once colored I used a circle die to cut the image out. I then matted it onto a blue  trellis circle die-cut. I used the same blue as a mat on my card having first decorated opposing edges with a lacy punch.
I then added the gorgeous design paper which has delicate flowers all over it. After placing my image I die cut a butterfly to coordinate and used some of my mulberry roses (spiraling the stems of the small ones) to balance the design.
