Snowmen Surprise

Good Morning! Who's excited for the big man coming? I know we have an excited little girl, I just love seeing her face on Christmas morning, I hate that they have to grow up!

It's the final Digi Choosday challenge before Christmas and the design team have been challenged with doing something spectacular so I decided to have a little surprise inside my card.

Sorry you don't get to see it just yet!!!

I started by adding Winnie's White Christmas Snowmen and dog image so some of the digital design paper from Winnie's White Christmas papers 2 and printed it onto stamping card. I colored the image with Copic Markers and cut to fit my card base. I matted the base with some glitter card stock and added my image.  then used foam tape to pop up a circle sentiment from Winnie's White Christmas sentiment collection.

But before I did all that I worked a little magic......

I made a pop up Christmas Tree using dies. I then decorated it with glittered enamel drops, a little cardinal and of course a star. I die cut a beaded circle to go around the base of my tree to look like a tree skirt. I then cut a semi circle from 2 pieces of the design paper and added these to the sides of the card. Finally I added strips of a different patterned paper to the edges so It looked like a rug.

Happy Xmas Tags

Good Morning! The sun has been shining here over the last couple of day and which always brightens my day!

As it's Tuesday that can only mean one thing, a new Polkadoodles challenge over at Digi Choosday and this week the design team were challenged to make a Christmas card with at least 3 tags. Well my card has more than 3:

What I Did:

I imported the tag into my graphics program and resized it. I then copied it so I had enough for my sentiment. I then added the letters to spell Happy Xmas, using a color from the original tag.
These were then all fussy cut and a tiny hole punched in the top of each one. I threaded them onto twine and spaced them equally.
My A7 card base was matted with red cardstock and I cut a sheet of digital design paper from Polkadoodles as my 2nd mat. I arranged the twine holding the tags across this and fixed them in place with tape.
I then adhered this to my card base. My tags were placed evenly and fixed in place with foam tape. Finally I added tiny red pearls to the tags.

What I Used:

Digital Tags: Polkadoodles - Winnie White Christmas Tags and Frames
Digital Paper: Polkadoodles - Winnie Wite Christmas Paper collection 3
White Card for Base: Neenah Solar white Cover 110lb
Red Cardstock: Tonic Studios
Baker's Twine - From my Stash
Glue: ZipDry
Foam Tape: Dollar Store
Pearls: From my stash

Candy Bags!

Good morning, today is the last day of warm weather for the foreseeable future so going to try and enjoy it as much as possible.

As it's Tuesday which means Digi Choosday I'm sharing some Polkadoodles Christmas goodies with you today:

What I Did:

Using my graphics I added Winnie Rudolph and Holly to the backing paper and printed it onto stamping card. I colored the image with alcohol markers, trimmed the card down and folded it landscape so it would make a topper for my bag of candy.
I added the candy to a clear baggy, folded and sealed the top and adhered my card topper over the top edge of the bag.
Finally I added lots of sparkly chameleon glitter to all the fluffy parts of the image.

What I Used:

Digital Design Paper: Polkadoodles - Winnie White Christmas Papers 2
Clear Bag: From my stash
Candy (yum!): Dove
Double Sided tape: Scor Tape

Christmas Gift

Good morning! Despite all the problems this year is passing too quickly how are we nearly in September!! It's going to be Christmas before we know it!

It's Tuesday and that can only mean one thing in the world of crafting challenges - Digi Choosday!!! For this challenge my teamies and I are making Christmas projects that aren't just a card! So I made a card with a gift inside.

What I Did:
I resized my image sentiment and printed these and 2 patterned digital papers. My image was colored with alcohol markers then I added glitter to all the hat edges.
My card base was made using 2 pieces of cardstock. The first one was cut down to 10.5 x 7 in and scored length ways at 5in and 5.75in. The second was 8.5 x 7 in and scored along longest edge at 5in, 5.75in, 7.25in, and 8in. I then cut an aperture from the 1.50in section, the last 0.5in had red liner tape placed along it and the scored area was shaped into a box frame. The 2 pieces of cardstock were then glued together forming a deep card like so:

I then made a box that would slide in to the box frame. I used a piece of card cut to 8.5in x 3in. This was scored along all edges at 0.75in, a v-shape was cut out of the corners and edges folded up to form an open topped box which slid into the card to hold tealights.
I then decorated the card front with the digital papers, coordinating cards stock, my cute image and sentiment.
I also decorated inside which covered the joins of the cardstock.

What I used:
Stamp card: X-Press It
Alcohol Markers: Copic
White cardstock for base: Neenah Solar white Coverstock
Blue card: Tonic Studio - Craft Perfect Denim Blue
Glitter: from stash
Glue: Zipdry

Christmas in July

Good Morning! It's a bit cooler this week than it had been thank goodness!

But Hey it's Tuesday! New challenge starts over at Digi Choosday today! As always it is anything goes but the design team are sharing their Christmas makes with an unusual shaped card, Here's Winnie about to step over the prickly holly on my wreath card:

What I Did:
I started by resizing and printing 2 copies of the wreath and one of Winnie on to stamping card. I then fussy cut one of the wreaths, cut the blue and white flowers out of the other and shaped the petals on these. I colored Winnie with alcohol markers and fussy cut her too.
Using my Cameo I cut 2 rings from cover stock card. I scored about half an inch from the top of one and glued this section to the other making a card base that had a hole in the middle. So that this would stand I cut the bottom half inch off the back one.
The center of the front of the card base was covered with acetate and I added the wreath over this covering all of the ring. The white and blue flowers from the second wreath were then layered on their matching flowers on my card.
Winnie was then adhered to the center of the card on the acetate. I finally added glitter to her hat and collar as well as the flowers on the wreath.

What I Used:
Stamping Card: X-Press It
Alcohol Markers: Copic
White Coverstock Card: Neenah Solar White Cover Stock 110lb
Actate: From my stash
Glitter: From my stash
Glue - ZipDry and Quicky Glue pen
