Here's my design using Arielle

I went for soft tones as she does look like a delicate little thing. I have colored her using Spectrum Noir markers and mounted her onto turquoise card. I have then used the same card to mat some Lili of the Valley design papers and for some delicate die-cut leaves. I used a scalloped card blank and added some clear gems just to accent the card

New Release at Faery Ink - Coco Greek Goddess

Good Afternoon - Well the weekend appears to have got here really quickly this week, either that or I have been that busy the week has flown by!

I'm back today with another make with this month's gorgeous new releases from Faery Ink. Today I am showcasing Coco the Greek Goddess.

How adorable is she!!!

I chose to color her with blonde hair which was a challenge in it's self as it's not a color I do frequently but I thought it complimented the gold I have used.

I colored the laurels in her hair, her bracelet and the band holding her pipes together with a gold pain pen to give a shine. The rest of her was colored with Spectrum Noir Markers, just adding highlights to her toga.
I used some Hunkydory card stock for the design paper and matted this, this image and my sentiment with black card to keep a classic look.
The sentiment, an inspirational quote, was typed up on my PC and printed onto the same white card as my image.

Thank you for stopping by and please head over to the Faery Ink Facebook group where you can find freebies, challenges and all my teamies inspirational makes using these stunning images.

Love Angel Valentines card

Good afternoon! The snow is still here on the ground in West Michigan and more is planned for next week. I have been sick over the holidays and my voice has decided that it doesn't want to return just yet much to the relief of my family!!!

Today I am here to show case a new release over at Faery Ink - Arielle the Angel of Love

Isn't she just stunning! You can find her in the new digi section over at the Faery Ink Store.

I took myself out of my comfort zone with this image and decided to use bold colors on her

She was colored with Spectrum Noir Markers but I colored her hair first before deciding on the colors of her dress and wings as I wanted to make sure I could get the texture of her gorgeous long locks.
Once colored I backed the image on to purple cardstock. I found some stunning black glittered acetate in my stash so layered this over the same purple card. Instead of using a sentiment I die cut the word love a number of times and fixed these randomly onto the acetate before adding my image. A black shaped card blank completed the design.

Please stop by the Faery Ink Facebook group where you can find freebies, challenges and all my teamies inspirational makes using these stunning images.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Creative Card Crew - Anything Goes
Lemon Shortbread - Anything Goes

This month we are starting the year with a sketch challenge and here's the sketch:

Our fab guest sponsor this month is
In order to have a chance to win the prize from our wonderful guest sponsor this month, we want to see you use this sketch on your Christmas or other December holiday card.   Monica has provided the inspiration for the basis of your design, now you just have to run with it.  You can flip it on its head if you like but we must be able to see all the elements of the original sketch in your card in order to qualify for the prizeIf you do follow the optional theme, be sure to add FT after your name so that we include you in the draw.

Remember, you don't need to follow the theme to link up your cards and earn a free paper each month, and have your name thrown into the year end draw for some extra digital goodies.  You only need to follow the theme if you want a chance to win this month's sponsored prize of a $15 gift certificate to Ike's Art.

On to my design and interpretation of the Sketch

As you can see I have rotated the sketch design. I have used Poinsettia Fairy and colored her with Spectrum Noir Markers. I have then die cut her into a fancy oval and inked the edges red. I have used a digital design paper from Decosse's Dynamite Doodles matted this on to red card. I have then used the same red card to cut the snowflake die and trimmed the ribbons from this to fit with the sketch. To finish the design I added some red gemstones and my sentiment.

So get started with your cards for the 2016 holiday season and come and join our challenge you never know you may win!!!
