Tic Tac Toe

Good morning! Memorial weekend looks as though it's going to be a hot one. We have nothing planned but a bit of yard work and enjoying the sunshine.

It's Friday which means that the new moodboard challenge over at SumMore Fun starts today and it's a great one for all you vintage lovers.
You can see the moodboard lower in the post but for now check out my interpretation of it:

I used the colors from the moodboard and the Raisin Boat Strokes of Pride stamp set  to make a tic-tac-toe square filling it with the letters from the U.S.A. stamp also in the set. It did take me a few attempts to get the letters stamped as I had to make sure I had only inked the required letter.

I matted a dark blue card with teal card. I then stamped the stripes from the stamp set into a grid on kraft card stock ensuring the squares were even. I then stamped the eagle in green, following the moodboard colors and added the letters in dark red. The kraft card was then adhered to my card base.
A simple card that did cause me some frustrations to make!

So want to join our challenge and get the chance to win a gift certificate to SumMore Fun? Oh and the prize doubles if you use stamps from from the store!

What a unique and creative use of those brush stroke stamps! I never would have thought to make a tic tac toe board out of them. Great card!
