Vintage Lady

Good morning and happy bank holiday / memorial weekend

Today is the start of a new challenge over on Scribble and Scrap and this is my design team make. The challenge as always is anything goes and you can find all the details to enter here.

I have used Scribble and Scrap's Vintage Beauty 3 digi stamp and colored her with my Spectrum Noirs. Then used a spellbinder die but cut it on an angle to allow for the whole design to fit.
The backing papers, flowers and other die cuts are all from the Hot stuff paper collection also from Scribble and Scrap. I've then used some hot fix gems from my stash and a bright orange ribbon to compliment the colors of the papers.

I am entering this card into the following challenges

Spectrum Noir - Flowers
Crafty Girls Challenge - Anything Goes
Sister Act Card Challenge - Anything Goes
Love to Create - Dies and punches

Music cards

I was asked to make a set of 12 music cards for a piano teacher. The instructions were they wanted generic cards, no sentiments, a piano if possible.

I kept the design very clean and simple and made monochromatic cards all the same

I used a card blank from Craftwork Cards and matted black card from Creative Crafting World onto this. I embossed some centura pearl card with an Embossalicious embossing folder, it is actually a festive one but I'm sure the recipient won't mind!
I then cut Tattered Lace piano die out of the same black card used for matting. 3 hot fix gems in the top left corner balanced off the design
As this was a set of cards I also made a box to put them in

I used the same card and embossing folder on the front and again added hot fix black gems. The dies again are from Tattered Lace.

Owl Birthday

well the weather is certainly picking up which is bringing the garden on a treat however it has also caused hundreds of mosquitos to hatch so having to keep covered up!

Today's post is a card made from Crafter's Companion's Mulberry Wood CD

I have taken the image into serif to add text. It's then been matted onto Core'dinations card and papers from the disc. The flowers are also from the disc, I have cut them out and shaped them with an embossing tool before adding tiny blue pearls to the center of each one.

I have followed the theme through to the inside only the flowers are flat on the insert.

I hope the little one it's made for loves it!

Birthday boy

I've been a bit absent with blog posting just lately but back today with a card I made for Mollie to give James on his birthday.

As he is picking up his skateboarding again and never has his IPod more than 10 feet away from him this lovely Digi from Crafter's Companion's Angelica and Adam cd seemed appropriate.

I have colored him with Spectrum Noirs and used my polychromo to add depth to the colors on his jeans and jacket. I trimmed the design with a spellbinder die and used Core'dinations card to mat it onto. The sentiment is again Crafter's Companion from the paint box poppet stamps.
The card blank is from Craftwork Cards.

The backing paper is from Lili of the Valley's Candles and Cake paper pad.

I have entered it into the following Challenge

Crafter's companion Monthly Challenge - Masculine
Crafty Girls - Anything goes

Scribble and Scrap Challenge 18

Hi from a very stormy Michigan. Once again we are suffering thunder storms that actually shake the house they are so violent.

Todays post is my design team card for the Scribble and Scrap 18th Challenge - why don't you pop by and join us. The theme is as always anything goes and you can find out how to enter and the rules here.

Meet Fluffy -hanging in there - she is from Wee Stamps and has been coloured in with my Spectrum Noir pens and shaded using Polychromo pencils. I have used papers from Scribble and Feminine Set 1 for the backing and rosette which is mounted onto Kraft card (the colour of the backing is actually pink but looks lilac on the photo). I have used an Xcut punch for the lacy borders. The sentiment stamp is from Lili of the Valley and the heart and corner embellishments are from my stash.
